  1. I hope no one else ordered from Fat Beats, if you did you might want to check your e-mail, they're not getting any colour copies. They claim that every copy of the colour version was set aside for the label's store. A label rep on Twitter claims that's not true so, who knows. I just wish they would have told us before Temporary Residence sold out.
  2. Has anyone in Canada received their Live at Rough Trade album?? Mine shipped on the 31st but it's taking its sweet time getting here.
  3. So I've seen "VNYL" around on Facebook ads or whatever, never paid much attention to it till tonight when I discovered this thread. All I can say is... What a wild ride! From the Kickstarter backers paying $24 for dollar store records, to Nick Alt clearly using his 36K to launch his now-dead store. Oh and when the backers couldn't return their records because VNYL realized that was illegal, incredible! Then the pivot to new records you could just order yourself off Amazon for less money. Now with the Crosly-owning, groove-touching, teenage YouTubers (who are either clearly being paid and not disclosing it or trying real hard to get free records) crying over a Mumford and Sons album they just OMG LOVE SO MUCH (yet never bought). It's 2am I made it half way through this thread (after starting with some of the later pages) but to top it all off, I only just had the realization that this is the same company that's launching the wireless turntable. This is the thread that keeps on giving. Thank you all!
  4. Everything Neil did mid-70s was great, so happy to get this, the title track sounds great.
  5. The Journey On boxset was a good step, but that was awhile ago now. Mi Sei Apparso Come Un Fantasma is one of Molina's best albums IMHO, it's a pity it's not more widely available. Impala too has been out of print for ages.
  6. SC must have shipped this early because mine arrived the day before release, which is unusual in Canada. Not the best quality recording but it's a good early S:O document. Looking forward to reading the book. Here's hoping the next releases are Nashville Moon and Black Ram LPs.
  7. Agreed. But it took so long to even get Time Fades Away, Tonight's The Night, On The Beach and Zuma repressed, I don't see how we're going to get anything from the 90s till 2030 at least...
  8. Thanks! Wilco's complete as far as studio/live albums and boxsets, I'm missing some 7" but the desire to collect those has diminished after the Alpha Mike Foxtrot boxset compiled those. Though I'm missing some Golden Smog albums, otherwise I'll have a complete Jeff Tweedy collection. Neil's hard since so many of his 90s albums are so pricy, so I doubt I'll ever complete his discography. I've always had a soft spot for country Neil so I'd like to grab Harvest Moon at some point, but that one's pretty rare and pricy.
  9. My wife and I's record collection: I got a bit of space to grow, but I'm in that awkward period where I don't have enough records to fill out another cube... guess that means I need to buy a bunch more records??
  10. So many levels of anger and sadness. No new Molina, and it appears some jerk from Rhode Island has made off with my money. Then he keeps raising my hopes up every few months. I think if he was trying to steal our money he'd have just disappeared by now, so why does he keep making these promises and then disappearing for months? Is he that incompetent??
  11. Here's my Wilco collection. It's all eight studio albums (AM, Being There, Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, A Ghost Is Born, Sky Blue Sky Wilco The Album, The Whole Love), the three Mermaid Avenue albums, the Speak Into Roses 10", the Alpha Mike Foxtrot b-sides/rarities collection, and the Kicking Television live album boxset.
  12. Also got the lighthouse, also from Canada! These look all look great! I almost went with the moon but my wife really liked the lighthouse.
  13. Hey guys, I love reading this thread. I have a nice storage case I've bought from a local store but in two years I've outgrown it. Does anyone have experience with the new Nornas series from Ikea? Specifically this: My space isn't wide enough for a 4x4 Kallax, so I was pretty happy to see this 1x3 Nornas, I especially like the natural finish so I can stain it however I want, and I like that it has a backing so you won't see cables behind it. What I'd like to do is stack a few, two to start with but eventually probably three, on top of each other ...obviously, with feet only on the bottom one! Do you think it'd be sturdy enough? With the back panel I don't think I'd be able to use wall mounted braces.
