  1. Exactly. And as Rick, Michonne, Carl, and Daryl were running through trying to escape, there were a pile of skeletons with ripped flesh and bloody meat inside a gate.

If you listened closely, as they were running by other containers, you could hear the people inside begging them ("help us"). Could hear the snipers and rooftop shooters coordinating their route as well ("don't let them get to 2").

They've clearly done it a few times, and have gotten pretty good at herding newcomers.

My only gripe with the episode is that all of the promo material centered around the "Those who arrive... survive" line, and the posters were all labeled "Who will arrive?" or "Who will survive?".

    And then nobody died.

That last line came out pretty cheesy too, but I guess it's better than having to bleep the original?

  2. Anybody into The Manhattan Projects? I bought the first trade and was moderately interested. Is it worth continuing?

By far one of my favorite books. I don't think Hickman can write a book I wouldn't love.

Definitely recommend following it via trades, though. I pick it up monthly, and it gets pretty hard to keep track of what exactly is going on.

  3. waiting impatiently for this trade

Right there with you. Money has been tight, so I've been picking up #1s to see if there's something I like, then waiting for the trades and picking them up from InStockTrades. The wait sucks, though! Luckily I'm still picking up my older books monthly.

I think right now I'm waiting on Sex Criminals, Black Science, Manifest Destiny, and Secret. If I remember correctly, Secret #1 came out in 2012! Delays suck...

  4. thank you! i really appreciate it. keeping my fingers crossed.

if you see any cherry rye or vanilla, snag those as well for me please!

I'd be amazed if there were any still sitting on shelves (at a reasonable price, anyways). Many people had a hard enough time getting them on the day of release, let alone 2 weeks later.

  5.

I've never used it myself, but I believe Mr. Beer uses extracts rather than actual grains. It's much easier, especially for beginners, but using something like the second kit you posted provides a much better experience of actual brewing.

I bought a few friends the Brooklyn Brew Shop kits. They're pretty cheap ($40), full grain recipe included, and provide great instructions for beginners. And their beer recipes are pretty damn good. (I did the IPA and the Jalapeño Saison the first couple times I brewed, with excellent results)

  6. Ended up finding three more four packs of the regular BCS and one more bottle of barleywine. All the stores had such limited quantity of the variants and were sold out almost immediately. Will definitely sit on most of the regular, still have 7 bottles of the 2012 aging. Awesome that you were able to find some!

That's pretty awesome. I've been trying to get my hands on some from past years, though I haven't had much luck. (Managed to find it at Whole Foods once, randomly!)

I'm definitely thinking of calling around locally and seeing if anybody has the barleywine left. The more I read online, the more intrigued I am.

  7. Picked up a 4 pack of Bourbon County Stout, 4 pack of the Barleywine, 2 bottles Coffee, and the Backyard Rye. Still searching for more....

Nice! I only picked up the Stout - money was a bit tight. Out here we only got the standard and the Barleywine, so I didn't have many options either way. Given how late I made it to the liquor store, I was happy enough with just that! Apparently Total Wine was flying through their cases.

Probably gonna have one or two in the next few weeks, and cellar the others until next year's release.

  8. Good eye haha. Yeah, that insert is pretty cool. Though I am selling off most of my AM variants now, that one is definitely staying in the collection.

I sold mine off a couple years ago as well. Only variants I kept were the promo Acoustic, a couple mis-presses and my 3 favorite copies of RAR (first press, pink/white split, black/white split). Hated seeing an entire cube on my Expedit filled with the same fucking album. No regrets letting them go.

I still have a stupid amount of CD variants, prints, posters, stickers, and merch. It's bad.
