  1. I'll probably be out and away from my phone tomorrow. Can any experienced Mondo droppers PB the Whalen Lion King for me? PM if you can and we'll work it out.
  2. Oh, they were outside my budget too - I picked up a print.
  3. I don't know if anyone knew, but this show opened on Friday and the originals and prints went up yesterday. Velvetmania! www.Gallery1988.com
  4. Mike Mitchell will be having a gallery show on April 25th. Taking on Marvel properties...mostly portraits and other bonuses. Looked into flights, too inefficient and costly - so the search for a poster buddy begins!
  5. If there ever was a sign that the NHL is not making headway in the US it's through this "Farmer's Only.com" ad I've just seen during the game.
  6. I bought HOFX on yellow splatter in the Summer of 1996 when I was in England. I brought it back packed in my suitcase between some clothes - luckily it was minimally damaged - vinyl was fine, sleeve had some dings.
  7. The Bowie reissues have always been expensive. I paid 24.99 Canadian for the Starman pic disc on RSD, though that's nothing compared to what it's "worth" now. I passed on the other RSD ones because they were as expensive. I picked up the Life on Mars for 12.99 and Sorrow for 9.99 released outside of RSD, so there doesn't really appear to be logic other than RSD means more people will impulse buy.
  8. It's a short show. Most might sell out/be bought to flip. Tuesday is probably a good bet though for the stragglers that don't sell
  9. It wasn't an official reveal though, and has been removed from most places that posted it. I'm thinking it might be an early version or they just want to wait to reveal it....since he wasn't on the show card, maybe it will be released in another way and isn't printed yet. I'm really excited for the new Whalen's - hopefully they have some high run sizes or people overindulge and there are a lot of people burning off their purchases for close to cost.
  10. Last year they had an RSD exclusive Rush shirt and the year before they had an exclusive Tom Waits shirt (which I bought) - so many seems ridiculous though.
  11. Rule Change: No intentional collisions at the plate. I like it.
  12. Hey, piggybacking on to the post above - I have Jason Edmiston - Creature From the Black Lagoon /175 - Sold Jeff Boyes - Frankenmurray orange variant (very cool) - /20 Martin Ansin - Planet of the Apes /415 Mark Englert - A11 Work and No Play - variant - /100 Tim Doyle - Correct As Usual /150 Tim Doyle - What is a Weekend /150 Olly Moss - Minute Walts - set or individual prints Make me an offer on them and we'll see if we can work something out.
  13. Awesome! I was on the fence back when they were still going around face value - can't do it now with the Horkey boom.
  14. I really liked it - I'm probably going again with my girlfriend and her daughter, but I can kind of echo Jerseydave's sentiments - I thought the part with Bad Cop's parents was a bit over the top. I took my 4 year old son and most of it was over his head - which is fine, it's probably more for 8 and up. He loved the song at the beginning, which you are not supposed to do, of course - it's a bit too subversive for it's own good. I really, really liked the third act, but I thought it was counter-productive to Lego's current business strategy, without giving too much away.
  15. It was me - sorry - I wasn't able to sort it out until after work.
  16. Hot topic had an "I am the Tag Team Champions" shirt as well. Similar to the champ is here.... Around Summerslam, WWE had the The Beard is Here shirt as well.
  17. It's billed as a "10th Anniversary Show", so that might add to the allure.
  18. 98% of the people wouldn't be on this board if it weren't for this album. Something was going to hit big from the "punk" world - but without this hitting first Smash wouldn't have taken off, leading to all the Epitaph stuff hitting, which led to everything else.... I had it on tape, then CD a couple of weeks later. We didn't get the brown disc tray in Canada though, very disappointing. I went to see them in November '94 at the CNE Arena in Toronto as my first concert without parent accompaniment - I wore a Penn State sweatshirt inside out, because I thought it would look cool with the concert shirt I bought over top. The openers were Pansy Division and Die Toten Hosen, which both affected my world view/music view. When I got this, and then Smash, all the Pearl Jam/Soundgarden/Stone Temple Pilots joined the Motley Crue/Kiss/Aerosmith Tapes and CDs in the back of the closet.
  19. That was Late Show with David Letterman's prediction too.
  20. Updated with new items. Shoot an offer. I've got to ship from Canada, so don't be offended if you think I'm trying to gouge you, so LPs cost about $12.00 to send, picking up 2 will let me cut you a better deal..
  21. Luck of the draw.... I ended up with Jimmy Uso and El Torrito!
