  1. Swerve Driver fucking kills it. I used to play "Duel" on repeat for hours.
  2. How does this not belong in the "Going without cable" thread? Same shit, different pile.
  3. if more people in this country would listen to stacy and clinton, it would be a better place. Yessssssss! <3 Stacy and Clinton. WNTW: making America look less fat and ugly one moron at a time.
  4. What the fuck, man?! It went through the french doors in our kitchen that go to the back porch. We live in a temperate climate and do not need 6" thick freezer doors to insulate us from the elements, so external french doors suffice. The bullet then ricocheted in the kitchen, made it into the dining room, and landed a few feet away from where were sitting in the living room. Whether you care to believe what happened or not, that's the way it went down. The cops said that given the trajectory, the amount of time it took from the gunshots to the time of impact (about 5 seconds), and the line of sight surrounding our property, there was no other explanation than it was a fallen shot from afar. Shit happens all the time. January 1, 2010: A 4-year-old boy was killed shortly after midnight while sitting in church during a midnight service in an Atlanta suburb. The cause of death was thought first to be due to falling ceiling debris until an autopsy confirmed an intracranial bullet injury to be the culprit. How fucking likely is that??!! It happened. It happens more than you think. So fuck off.
  5. False. A handgun bullet, by in large, will travel less than a mile (a rifle is another story). That being said, in an "urbanized area", the odds are that the bullet is likely to be hit something long before even going 50 yards much less a mile. You live in a bad neighborhood. You are making numerous assumptions and sweeping generalizations with little knowledge base. Odds are against lots of things, yet they still occur. How do you explain that? I live in a 4000+ square foot home on one of the more affluent streets in the city. The house consistently appraises in the upper six figures, some neighboring ones have breached the seven figure mark. 4 doctors live on my block. Adjacent is an investment banker that makes more money in an hour than most of us will see quarterly. His home (which isn't even his primary residence; he keeps it for his children to use when they are in school) is one of those seven figure houses. Bad neighborhood? Really? And we're speaking on a micro level -- let's push it up to macro levels. There are numerous countries in the world that possess weaponry that could vaporize ANY city in the United States before almost all of us could scratch our balls and figure out what's going on. By your logic, we ALL live in bad neighborhoods. Odds are against that happening, but odds were against 9/11. Is Lower Manhattan a bad neighborhood? Again, nice try.
  6. I have an alibi, I swear! If Jack McCoy taught me anything, it's that fast food joints never stand up as alibis in a court of law.
  7. This is true. False. The range of a handgun is well over a mile and depending on the gun / munition, it may be closer to 2 miles. Don't know of any urbanized area that has a 2 mile radius as a buffer zone between good and questionable neighborhoods. In New Orleans, where wealth and poverty are, literally, side by side, you're lucky to have a few blocks as a buffer. Nice try.
  8. Shots were just fired in our neighborhood and one took out the french doors in our kitchen. Just missed my roommate by, literally, inches. The bullet wound up in the dining room, just a few feet from where we were all sitting waiting for the Packers game to start. It was a big round too; 45 cal, so someone was out to do some damage. Crazy. We live in a pretty ritzy neighborhood, so the cops think it was from one of the shitty neighborhoods a few blocks over. Fucking thugs and their guns. Should all be rounded up and sodomized with a rifle. Time for a beer.
  9. In the front row? Behind a bench full of players and a shield of protective Plexiglas? Perhaps if there was someone in the upper deck whipping pucks at people randomly, but not from the play itself. I've been to hundreds of games and never seen anyone get injured. And if it was a major concern, I don't think the building would allow small babies inside.
  10. I still say #2 on the first batch.
  11. If 6 ultimately wins, I quit the board.
  12. You people realize this is a logo for a shitty message board filled with nerds, assholes, and various other forms of social leftover and NOT a fucking Fortune 500 company, right? From my perspective, all of the entries are adequate for the purpose they will serve.
  13. Then someone should just let the voters vote and stop sounding like an elitist dick.
  14. I have no idea what you are trying to say. Sure, maybe they are different schools of thought. But they have to be integrated. Your example. It's not guitar vs. bass. It's guitar and bass. They work together. A song with a guitar riff and a bass line clashing is not going to sound good. Same goes with design. The type and the logo/mark need to work together. Sounds like someone should have made their own logo...
