Got my copy from Amazon.com today. The box was pretty dinged and the actual record packaging looks like it has some water damage (wavy cardboard). I don't know how this is possible - it was wrapped in clear plastic. I asked for an exchange, lets hope the next one they send me is in good condition.

Eh, not too concerned to be honest. I've had a decently happy experience with them to this point and until that changes or AT&T gets WAY better coverage I'm sticking with Verizon. Yes, some people couldn't care less but personally I do. One example of "locking" out of phones is USB connectivity on alot of their phones to prevent people from making their own ring tones, forcing them to purchase them through Verizon. Another is GPS modules which would normally be free to use but they lock it out and forced people to pay extra. It's a shady practice and until people actually make a big deal about it (and cancel their service) they won't stop.

The data plan for the original iPhone was $20, not $40, and includes 200 text messages. The new data plan is $30 and doesn't include texting. 200 messages is $5 extra. Yeah, that was a error on my part. I know it was cheaper, dunno why I put $40.

In all honesty Verizon is one of the worst providers and I recommend switching once your contract is up. They force a shitty UI on all their phones and lock out as many features as possible. The fact that you live in a heavily populated area means you should get coverage by all providers anyways.

I've come to actually give people correct info: -The iPhone price is SUBSIDIZED. That mean's you HAVE to get a contract through AT&T, no more buying the phone and unlocking to another carrier -You have to sign up in the store now for an AT&T account when you purchase an iPhone. They are putting AT&T kiosks in Apple Stores. -The data plan is now $30 instead of $20. This is the standard for all PDA phones on AT&T, Verizon, and many other providers -You can now get a FAN Employer Discount. My employer provides me with a 24% discount.

Cell phone service really is subjective - you here that one service from someone then other people say it's awesome. Sprint is an example of this. A friend of mine had nothing but horrible service through them and I've had 4 years of service and couldn't be happier.

Verizon SUCKS, currently I'm using Sprint but I'm switching to AT&T for the iPhone (Apple fanboy for life). In the past I've used... -Alltel -Verizon -Sprint

I got the $50 phono preamp and I really like it. According to "audiophiles" on head-fi they are really good quality for their price and compare to other companies' $200+ models.

Virgil- When something like this happens is it the printing place's fault or VC's? I'm just curious if something like this happens can you complain with whoever printed it, demanding a refund or some type of free re-print of the jackets/lyric sheets?

It's hard to say. The concept of the packaging and the youtube video really sold me and it seems like a great package for $50. I knew for a fact it would also be worth something down the road and I was right. Suprinsingly, I've listened to the new Panic album and it shows that the band has potential. I truly feel like they'll make the shift to more a more "adult" sound in their next album and be successful.
