I need some advice from some fellow comic fans: I've been going to the same comic book store for 5 years now. I have 3 long boxes. I'm on a first name basis with the 2 owners and have a pull list. Recently I've been considering switching to TPB/Hardcovers instead of issue singles. Having a bunch of long boxes takes up alot of space and TPBs/Hardcovers look nicer, are cheaper, and are more convenient. Not to mention I can pick and choose TPBs after the arc has run it's course and I'll only pick up quality titles. My only issue is feeling bad about not supporting my local comic book store. We all know the industry is very small and every little bit helps. Should I feel bad about e-mailing them and telling them not to pull comics for me anymore? Should I just come up with a lame excuse (going to college out of town?). This really sucks.

Well, thankfully nowadays smartphones arn't neutered by Verizon. Not all phones are locked down but many are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_RAZR_V3#Verizon_Wireless_version What I do know is they do in fact lock GPS on things like the Blackberry Pearl. You have to use VZ Navigator, unlike other phones with allow you to download Google Maps. The 2 newest Blackberries - which come with GPS software - are blocked from using said software. Instead you have to pay for VZ Navigator. They lock you out of free applications and force you to use their paid "Get it Now" service.
