plenty of risk involved with shipping first class international and priority international rates are high enough that no one wants to pay it. maybe I should have made my empathy more clear in the first post. we understand that costs are high, it just seems like lately every thread has multiple posts complaining about it. i have forwarded this to the usps and they will take it under consideration. they seemed impressed with the eloquence of your language.

yes I have been complaining about high international shipping prices for years on internet message boards. also I didn't say anything about canada because obviously they have it worse than anyone so your city and colour example doesn't make sense.

probably another $4 in actual postage cost (not including materials) depending on if its gatefold, etc.

no need to clutter up threads with "would like this, can't afford $20 shipping". None of these labels are trying to gouge you, that's just how much it costs now.

still, charging $7 for media mail means they clear $2.50 (at least) in pure profit for every record shipped. assuming you can pack up 20 records an hour (an underestimate if everything is organized). this means that basically someone is getting $50/hour to pack up records.

We know shipping from the usa is expensive. You don't need to complain about it in every thread. As citizens of the united states, we are sorry about this. As citizens of this board, we are tired of hearing you bitch about it. actual postage costs are now ~$18.65 for an lp and ~$12.75 for a 7".

pretty sure no one has ever gotten more than one of the most limited variant for dw releases.
