  1. Yeah, I really don't understand why they're charging so much, other than to jettison an unacceptable amount of cash out of die hard fans, especially when you can buy them cheaper elsewhere. I think we should all rise up and take a stand against this to be honest. Raygun... Naked Raygun are definitely missing a trick by not having No Idea release their records nowadays. It really does make my head throb throb.
  2. http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=193803& About 6 months ago. Not sure if it's still available. Would like to know when #4 is coming out though, been collecting them all.
  3. What a bunch of fucking bullshit. I checked the Fat Wreck site every day for the last two months, then it goes up and sells out the 7 hours I am in bed. Definitely reaching breaking point with record labels and all this limited edition "exclusive" bastard fuck shit fuck piss to be honest. And I'm guessing the majority went to eBay flippers rather than people who even care about music... Spending my cash on Xbox 360 games and Anchor Steam just seems so much more appealing nowadays.

  5. Yeah, here in the UK minimum wage for 16 - 17 is equivalent to $5.67. 18 - 20 is $7.67. Older than 20 and it's more again. $2.15 or even $3.50 is fucking bleak. How can you afford to live, buy records, do anything? I get a US equivalent of around $27.00 an hour, but even then with rent, bills, etc. I don't feel staggeringly rich by any means. The USA is a scary fucking place indeed. I've always tipped a dollar a drink whenever I've been in the US, so I'll definitely continue that next time I'm out there.
  6. This now ranks up there as one of the worst records I've ever heard. I don't even want it on vinyl for "collection" purposes anymore, it is quite literally fucking shit. Every ex-member must be laughing their heads off right now.
  7. I'd go far as to say that it's getting worse with every listen. I always try hard with bands I love / used to love, but sometimes you've just gotta let go (like with the last Social Distortion album). "Land of The Dead" is probably up there as one of the best songs on it to be honest. It just feels so plodding, insipid and lifeless. It's obvious anyone that could write songs in this band is long gone now. I read somewhere Jerry said this album is a "masterpiece" - he's fucking deluding himself. I think he thinks it's "Legacy of Brutality" crossed with "Project 1950" or something. It's not.
  8. Agreed, especially "American Psycho". I'd pick it up just to keep the collection nice and tidy really. It is a shame Jerry is singing on this one though, the second half of the album, especially, is snails pace mediocrity.
  9. Anyone know if this will be on vinyl at all? It's by far their worst album (of original songs) but I'd still probably pick it up if it was available on wax. Seeing as they've released the two same songs twice on 12" EP recently it'd be crazy of them to not press this.
  10. Can't believe there's a typo in "El Dorado" on both the sleeve and the record itself. Not enough proof readers in punk rock!
  11. I'm amazed the vinyl is still available. This is already a Samiam "classic"; in years to come people are going to be scrambling on eBay for this first press on white vinyl like they do with "Astray" and "You Are Freaking Me Out" nowadays.
  12. Some good news my end - I refused to pay the extra postage to the UK Trever wanted for the $100 package and asked him to bring it to the UK when they toured. Saw them last night (been waiting 17 years and they were amazing) and he had the package - all good, correct colours and all the other shit included. Lovely uncoated gatefold sleeve - shame the artwork is a bit "meh" though. Could have sworn there was going to be two extra tracks on the vinyl as well, but it seems it's only on the European version - bugger, should have bought a copy last night. Will have to order it now.
  13. Wow, and I thought my label was a disaster. Luckily I never begged the internet for money and went and got a killer job in the transexual porn industry to get my finances back on track after making a £20,000 loss. I think this chap could learn a thing or two from me. :-)
  14. "Hello, I am now in the process of shipping the reward packages. I have made an error in calculating the postage for overseas shipments. I am writing to request you send an additional $25.00 to cover postage expenses." LOL. I asked about this on April 6th - and knew damn well this was going to happen - and got no reply. I have replied, asking him to bring the package to the local show I have tickets to on August 29th. This seems like a reasonable request to me. Definitely the last Kickstarter I'm going to be involved in. Obviously I had to Soulseek the record just to fucking hear it.
  15. Have you heard the alternate mix? It's even worse!
  16. This is true, it probably is easier to pick all this stuff up in the UK. That said $50 is only about £30 so if you can pick "Mush" up for that you're on to a winner. But then this is coming from someone who paid £125 for BR's "Into The Unknown" original! If it's your "holy grail" though, I guess you need to make sure you got the cash aside to fight for it... I have everything on vinyl, most of which was given to me for free by a very cool guy. My copy of "Mush" on CD I picked up for $1.00 in Seattle, and it looks to be the US version, on Seed Records, licensed in 1993 from Fire. Not sure if this makes it more rare or less rare? I just hope Fire DON'T remaster, I am not sure if "Mush" could sound any better and I'm worried they'll ruin the heart and soul of that record. Actually, I bet they probably won't as that would cost them money!
  17. No they didn't, it's the same label that's been sat on it for 20 years, finally bothering to reissue it. They seem to be reissuing Minx (on CD) as well. Both appear on vinyl, on eBay, quite regularly for reasonable prices anyway.
  18. Yeah, because it probably isn't him. I forgot how stupid Americans are sometimes.
  19. I bought into RSD once, and that was because I was stoked about the Bad Religion 7". Ended up buying loads of copies and making 100's of pounds on them on eBay. The whole thing is kind of a joke.
  20. Yeah anyone who pledged knows if you are immediately paying or waiting for the goal for payment to be taken? Don't wanna pledge $100 for nothing if they don't meet their goal and I'm $100 down. Otherwise I'm down for the ridicously expensive package just to ensure I get a test press and white. Pretty sure you won't get charged until the goal is met - otherwise what you're saying is, if it reached $9,990 they'd walk away with all the cash and there's not a damn thing we could do about it - that'd just be wrong. I pledged the 100 bucks, my concern is the postage alone is probably going to be that much to the UK so how do they navigate that?
  21. I see. Don't have time to sift through pages of crap on this forum, sorry.
  22. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/119348482/face-to-face-12-limited-edition-vinyl-and-corey-mi 100 bucks seems like a pretty good deal to me, especially as the white is limited to 100 copies only. Never pledged on a Kickstarter before; being in the UK does it add postage at the end?
  23. Scored this for one of the lower end prices I've seen on Popsike : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180640746421&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_744wt_1139 I guess now's the time to pick up some Weasel vinyl, eh!
  24. Hey Rich, Dan McKee was in Cardiff on the weekend and I mentioned you post on here and that you had a shop - what's the info on it as he didn't realise you'd opened one? He lives in Birmingham now.
