They're pretty rugged hardcore, a la old Agnostic Front, etc...tough to like on the first listen, but afterward it gets in your head pretty good.

I ordered it the day it went up. Their 7" is killer and I was bummed I only managed to get one of the 1st press colors...I have all three of the second press.

There is no gray...they're all blue green. I've bought three copies over the years and they've all been the same, one was ordered right when it was released.

ALK3/One Man Army is 500 on red.

I don't hate media mail at all. Yeah, it takes a while, but that makes the records that much better when they're finally in my grubby hands. Plus, like Virgil said, it is so inexpensive. I wish places like interpunk offered media mail, I'd sacrifice the speed of delivery to not have to shell out insane amounts for shipping. ($6.50 for one LP, bleh!) The only beef i have with media is when I'm shipping something and people hassle me about it taking so long.

That Prison of Hope set is nice. Though I'm not into much hardcore anymore, I still have a copy of Chokehold's Instill 7" that I throw on once in a while.

I love Jawbreaker, too, but I recently sold all of my JTB. I loved JTB at first, but then got really tired of it.

I have no artistic talent whatsoever (when it comes to drawing and whatever), but how about a cartoon of a dog with a record in his mouth digging a hole. It could say something like "Dude, even my dog digs vinyl." and at the bottom or on the back it could say "www.vinylcollective.com"

I'm going to book my flight and hotel this weekend...I AM NOT MISSING THIS. I hope my wife doesn't mind spending our first anniversary in Gainesville...HA.

Well done...I've been waiting for something like your column for a long time...I rely soley on message boards and label sites to get pre-order and new release info...it's great to get a good chunk of info in one place also with a little bit from every type of music. Kudos to you, Mr. Conoley! EDIT: Oh, and I'm glad I was smart enough to order every piece of vinyl Kiss of Death has out a couple of weeks ago...once people start reading that column, that stuff will be gone quickly...
