  1. Thanks for this. Glad to not have to pay a ton for shipping.
  2. Sounds like a killer record. Can't wait to hear it all the way through.
  3. Mine sounds terrific. I just listened through for the second time. No problems, no noise. It's the best I've heard this record in a long time.
  4. I'm pretty sure English is a second language for the label folks at Surfin Ki, as they're in Italy (?).
  5. Burger also did the Dwarves RSD 7", which is apparently in short supply.
  6. Went back out - couldn't find another. Sorry folks.
  7. I got one for myself. I'm going back out soon. If I see another I'll grab it.
  8. Same here. For international shipping it was pretty good. Thankfully, the Euro is shit right now. I haven't bought variants in a long time, but had a hard time deciding which cover to get, so I got both.
  9. I'm just excited for the music (though the boots are pretty solid quality).
  10. I've said it before and I'll say it again: "don't like it, don't buy it." No one is forcing anyone to buy these records, and it seems like not too many folks here are interested in them anyway. So, who cares? Labels and stores do this all the time. But maybe someone is stoked on the tour edition of a Beatnik Termites Ramones cover album.
  11. Ha! "I'm not going to RSD. I'm boycotting. Plus, I have friends picking up RSD titles for me!"
  12. Of course it's more complicated than just that. But smaller labels still manage to get stuff out. Flood and Asbestos release RSD titles every year on time (and he's about as indie as it gets). Other labels do too. It's planning. Does it suck that some records get delayed so a major can repress a Fleetwood Mac LP? Sure it does. But is that worth boycotting the event and possibly killing your local store in the process? Most stores will tell you that RSD is their best day all year, and that it gets better as the years go on.
  13. Don't like it, don't buy. For me, there's actually stuff I want, so I'm going to pick it up. The store still makes money, which is really what the day was all about to begin with.
  14. First 200 on green vinyl. http://store.greennoiserecords.com/collections/new-arrivals-past-30-days/products/mean-jeans-singles-green-vinyl-lp
  15. The term "punisher" really struck a nerve with you. Just to be clear, not every buyer is a punisher, nor is every buyer who leaves negative or neutral feedback a punisher. A punisher is a buyer who puts unrealistic expectations on a seller, doesn't communicate their grievances before filing a claim or airing details of a bad transaction, or makes unreasonable requests of the seller, i.e. demanding a tracking number moments after paying and opening a claim if the seller doesn't respond within a day; freaking out over a minor scratch on a $4 record; constantly messaging about the whereabouts of a record when the tracking number clearly states what's going on; etc.... I've rarely dealt with punishment from buyers. And the one time I got neutral feedback it was warranted because I didn't notice an issue upon inspection. That said, reading this thread and others here makes it evident that there are a number of punishers among us. Like Derby said, if everyone adheres to the "don't be a dick" rule, all will be well.
  16. Until you get that special breed of punisher that thinks you control the post office and they get mad when the tracking number shows no movement for a few days.
  17. Looks killer. I wish I could've ordered the t-shirt bundle, but I've been on a preorder freeze because we're moving and I don't want things in transit. I'll grab the vinyl once we're in our new place.
  18. This. And if you absolutely need it faster, send a nice note and pay for priority mail. I typically can only make it to a post office on a Saturday, but if asked I can probably swing it during the week.
  19. All of this is well and good, but one thing a lot of people are forgetting is that most of the people selling records on eBay or Discogs aren't running a business - they're just doing this to make a little extra money or as a hobby to fund buying new records. I think it's unrealistic to expect everyone who sells records to grade things 100 percent accurately based on Goldmine standards - which is difficult enough for professionals, let alone a dude looking to unload some records he doesn't want anymore. There should be a mutual level of understanding on behalf of the buyer and the seller and honest communication before someone leaves neutral or negative feedback or calls someone out on a message board, whether it be over the record's condition, shipping times, or any of the myriad things that can go wrong when making faceless transactions over the Internet and through the mail.
  20. This is one of the best threads on the internet and should be a mandatory read for a lot of the people posting in this thread: http://board.vivalavinyl.com/thread/view/21826/&p=5255 A lot of you sound like punishers. Don't be punishers.
  21. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/109661-po-dwarves-radio-free-dwarves-12-etched-b-side-2-versions/ If any band deserves two threads it's the Dwarves!
