  1. Floor was great. Snapcase, Ringworm, and High on Fire were all great as well. As for the Descendents, fuck. yes. They played every single song I wanted to hear and some I kinda forgot about, but was excited as shit to hear! Jesus. I was about 10 ft from the front of the barrier (yeah, fuck a barrier) but ended up getting out of there once I couldn't breathe/couldn't see shit from people being on top of my head. I wanted to actually see the Descendents play. So worth it, though. I only tried one time to get a picture, and it sucked. Here it is anyway: and here is the set list for anyone who couldn't make it but was curious:
  2. Kittenmittons - It's an anti-animal testing tattoo, no real story to it. I do take any and all opportunities to crack jokes about the cock in my pants, though.
  3. Man. I understand how scary and shitty seizures can be. I was diagnosed with epilepsy 4 years ago. Hope you get better soon!
  4. I stopped posting here for a while because my computer freaked out on me over virus stuff.... Anyway, I guess I will re-introduce myself. Real Name: Lauren Favorite Bands: Chokehold, Descendents, Saves the Day, Bikini Kill, Jawbreaker. What's your Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr etc.?: facebook.com/laurenxvx Hobbies (outside of record collecting): reading comics, dancing in a company, shows (when I have time). Play in a band? Run a record label? Link us!: n/a Random things you want us to know about you: I have two dogs. They rule. I hate my job but I stay because it's flexible while I'm in school. I'm going to be a special ed teacher. That rules too. I volunteer at a camp every summer for children with special needs and that rules. Basically, life rules.
  5. I'm very late on this, but I do! thisprovesiexisted.tumblr.com
  6. Dallas/Ft Worth: 1919: Call 817-920-9665 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fort-Worth-TX/1919-Hemphill/21711193527?ref=ts Phoenix Project: Email [email protected] http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=196155496407&v=wall&ref=ts I chose to list these spots, but there are definitely others in the area as well.
  7. I saw Alkaline Trio two nights ago and the only people that bothered me were: -Drunk mom trying to make out with my boyfriend -Drunk girl who was getting really mad at people standing all around her and screaming "Fuck you" to every person who accidentally stumbled into her. -Overprotective man in the Samhain shirt with his arms against the rail who kept swaying into me to keep people away from him/them. I felt like I was on a boat or something. Redeeming part: Misfits cover at the end of the night. (Angelfuck - it ruled)
  8. HOLY SHIT. I have yet to hit any animals, but about a week ago I kept telling my boyfriend there was a huge deer dead in the road and to slow down so he wouldn't re-run it over. (We were on a country road at night) He kept driving real fast and by the time he saw it, it was too late to go around it. It sounded like crushing bones under the car. I was so damn grossed out. Awful.
  9. How did ya'll get your first credit card? Was it difficult? Did you just apply for a regular card and get accepted or did you do the gas card route and work your way up? I don't have any credit history and I'm a little afraid to get one. Help?
  10. Man, I forgot how much I loved Glassjaw. I don't know you, but hanging out with friends is definitely a good idea, try not to be alone. Pick up a new hobby to keep your mind off of things. If you don't already have a pet and can get one, consider it. Having a new companion around might soften the blow. Keep your space. I'm not sure if the lunch with the dad thing is going to be good for you, it might make her mad. I know personally when I broke up with my last long term boyfriend (it was only 2 years though) he emailed my dad behind my back and sent him a shirt from Tommy Bahama and offered to take him to Hawaii in place of me since I broke up with him. WEIRD. Anyway, I know it made me mad to break up with him and him try to keep ties. I guess it wouldn't have been as bad if we didn't end on bad terms, but we did. Get rid of memory triggers, those won't help you at all. Also, make a wishlist? (of things you want to accomplish--and work toward them) Lastly, change your ringtone (a friend suggested that to me, and while it's weird, it was good for me in the long run because when my phone rang, I didn't automatically think it was him calling) and get a haircut. (I know that's a "girly" suggestion, but I have done it and it helped.) and remember that time heals most things. Sorry I just wrote you a novel. I hope this helps you, even a little. Good luck!

  17. As far as healing, this is my normal routine: I keep the tattoo wrapped for a little over 24 hours. Then I take the wrap off and wash it. If my skin starts to feel really tight and dry, I put a tiny bit of non-scented lotion from Jason cosmetics on there and repeat whenever necessary. I never ever scab and all my colors hold very well. As for pain, I hate getting tattooed, really. My elbows hurt, my toes hurt, my feet hurt, my forearms also hurt, my chest hurt.....basically, it all hurt. Sucks. But I keep going back.
