Alright. So I'm still in the dark, bit the label was created today for The Decline.
It's from San Fran. It's priority (because of bundle). Now I'm a bit relieved.
This is by far the most nail biting release and shipping fiasco I've had with these guys in well over a decade.
Fiasco? They've been pretty transparent through the whole thing.

Anyway let’s get this our if the way: we haven’t received LTJ records yet. Sad. But the world’s on fire and we promise once there here we will turn around and get them out to ya! We swear it.
I don't think you get to use the "the world's on fire" excuse when the world was already on fire when the preorders went up.

Update came from Jump Start today
Just a quick note to give you an update on the pressing on this release. We sent out a few updates via our general email blasts, but we wanted to more directly reach out with an update since some of you may have missed the previous ones. We're still waiting on the vinyl from the pressing plant. They've got everything from our end: jackets, labels, inserts, download cards, etc. They're just waiting on the plates from the mastering house. I was told the plates should be here this week, and we'd have wax off the presses within days of their arrival. We used a local pressing plant for this record, only 25 minutes from us, so as soon as these bad boys are ready, we'll pick them up and begin shipping them. We apologize for the delay. We honestly thought that these would be done early, not late, based on the conversations with the pressing plant when we posted the pre-order. The easy excuse would be that Covid is fucking everything up, but that's not a catch all for everything, especially in the vinyl pressing game. -

I got my blue/yellow split w/ splatter in on Aug 10 from the EU Fat store (KRM). Still waiting for the US one to ship. Not sure why the heavy delay, transit never should take this long. Maybe they just forgot to order the pressing of the US batch initially.
Because the records are pressed in Europe and being shipped from Europe to the US by boat instead of plane. Less commercial planes flying right now so the price of shipping by plane skyrocketed.

Anybody have any idea when this is being released? I think originally they were shooting for August 21 which got changed to Oct 5? Anyone get shipping info?

What boat? The titanic?
I forgot. It's 2020 and we just teleport things from one country to another...

I was thinking specifically about the split/splatter variant (not the solid blue), but you’re right. Looking at the past Discogs sales, the split/splatter variant was also predominantly sold by European sellers.
Same deal. Fat's european store doesn't have to wait for them to get shipped across the pacific on a boat.

I just got mine tonight. I have no idea how/why it was out as early as a month ago(?). Maybe it was sold early at the store?
The blue was a European retail version. It didn't have to get shipped across the pacific ocean on a boat.

Sounds like your counting is off. A 4x4 kallax/expedit holds about 1000 records, so that and a 2x4 would hold 1500.

Never 4get
I remember this clearly. I know someone hit him up and was like nice seats at the Avs game. How'd you afford those? And got a refund for whatever he was waiting for.

This. Never forget. People like them don't deserve to be around the scene. RJ still shows up to shows in NYC. Such Gold actually shouted him out and I was so pissed, like do they have no idea how much money dude stole?
11 hours ago, AlexH. said:It's wild to think that there are people who are regulars here who have no idea about Virgil or Suburban Home. Personally, it was one of the first online communities I was a part of, and although I don't post as regularly anymore, it is comforting to have at least one familiar place that hasn't been swallowed whole by Facebook or Reddit. Long live VC!
Dude, this writeup was amazing. Thanks for all of that. This was definitely the place to smash refresh all day long waiting for preorders to launch. It's crazy how many of those records are worth 100s of $$s now because it was pre-vinyl explosion. Now the only POs that get posted are like WB radio bands.

I'm still pretty butthurt about that MTS TOYPAJ train wreck. Mainly because I am still out $100+.
Find him at a Such Gold show in NYC when shows happen again. Remember shows?

Then how the hell are they already sold on discogs?! I'm so confused.
Europe doesn't have to wait for them to cross an ocean on a boat.

Hey Ian, any chance you can make some noise for us west coasters about maybe getting POs put up at an hour or 2 later? 7:30 AM PST is tough. I feel for the europeans trying to get US releases.

Kudos to Pup for naming their new album after these message boards
The Queers end most of their shows playing This Place Sucks. House of Blues in Chicago closed the curtains on them and they loved it.

Australian variant as well. Cornetto Transparent Orange and Doublemint, as well as Neon Green. Don't see any pressing info.

EDIT: Cut Loose has it on purple vinyl also.
Cut loose advertised the pink Morbid stuff as /200, but it was really /2000. I'd assume the purple is /2000 as well.

In the original post Wasda explained that they only found a SRC link, couldn't find Bullmoose and didn't know about the Fearless webstore listing. They were just trying to give a heads up to the board to look out for the variant. At this point I think we all know we shouldn't support SRC but if they're the only one with info at the moment so be it.
Yes, my post was after Fearless listing was added, meanwhile now he has bullmoose's link but still hasn't removed the SRC one. Since "we all know" that we shouldn't support SRC, shouldn't "we all know" that the record will be available in other stores and that a little bit of patience gives you a better chance of actually receiving the record you pay for?

Imagine getting upset by a post on these boards.
No one's upset. I just think on a board about records we shouldn't promote predatory record stores. SRC's entire business model is putting things for sale before anyone else and then you may or may not actually receive the item from them. If SRC is getting it, plenty of other places will also. We should support the ones that don't rip people off.

Just got an email about this. No pre-orders from Bull Moose.

Delete that SRC link and put the band/fearless link at the top. Why promote a store that's just going to rip people off?
