but I (unfortunately) couldn't tell you the last time I actually got to go into a shop and buy a record, so most of my purchases over the last year have been via mail.
Maybe if you left the Ghost Realm you'd be able to go into an actual store.

Still nothing about my red copy. I sent an email this morning asking what’s up.
Seems like they're just incredibly slow at getting these out. I got shipping notification yesterday.

That's definitely USPS. My guess is with as backed up as they are these shipments of media mail get last priority. I've had things sitting in Albany, NY and Orlando, FL for weeks now.

If you don't care if a record is sealed, then have em take it out. If you're one who cares about that, it's gonna be a gamble.
This too. If you buy a sealed record and don't ask for it to be shipped outside the jacket its on you. Opening sealed records is not general practice.

Seam splits on the printed inner-sleeves can be even worse. It's really disappointing to open a new record and see that.
Getting printed inner sleeves is pretty disappointing. I think some labels (Fat) are realizing these always get destroyed and are moving away from them.

Selling posters again! Take these off my hands!

Confirmed they sent me the wrong variant.
Are all 900 of the color in color #ed? Or just the first 300? Did only the first 300 get the screenprint? -

it doesnt really bother me. i find it more funny than anything else. if it bothers you so much just make the edits you want. no need to comment and just waste someones time. i usually dont add/edit releases unless im bored out of my mind and if i do make an edit i just do it. why bother anyone? nonsense.
nfg/mondo update: they sent me a return slip to send back the orange for the splatter.
I add releases because I don't like putting things away on the shelf until their in my discogs. I rarely ever edit anything unless its to add pressing info or something like that.
Damn. Should have told them you got white and you could send me the orange and I'll send them my white.

I suppose I'm the right person to answer the question. Sorry, I've been slammed with work.
The recent Make War album on Fat on color. Happy to work a swap. It is the Fat 2020 release that I regretted missing.
Thanks for the ask.
Staying all technical - 2019! Hard to believe it's already been a year.

Anybody else order the mega bundle? So much disappointment and I haven't even opened the records yet. There's 115 "test presses" AKA black vinyl versions with no labels. And even though I ordered the mega bundle with the 3 1st press versions (color doesn't matter so much to me) and test presses, I ended up with a 2nd press in my order. Hoping its a mistake and they can correct it, but interested to see if anyone else who ordered the mega bundle got 2nd press copies.

Seeing as this is the Fat Wreck thread, I can only imagine they’re referring to the only MakeWar LP on Fat. And on color.
Can assume, or just ask? MakeWar is a Fat band, but they have 3 LPs. 4 including Sad and French since everyone wants to be all technical in this fucking thread. Jesus christ.

I think he's referring to the Never Trust A Hippy EP that was recently released on vinyl for the first time.
Was asking which MakeWar LP. Never Trust A Hippy is an EP...

same here. had a guy go through a bunch of tests i added question the credits, track times, dates and even change the way i had the pressing amount listed (i guess /# wasnt goo enough). he even commented and then removed the dashes from the track listing - but not on the original listing i had copied from - just mine.
i swear that so many of them just want their name on as many releases as possible.
hudsonia?

Kind of related.....
people on Discogs are tools. Dude almost shit his pants cause I made a quick entry on this variant and used web sourced Image...so if you are in this thread, you are a cry baby poopy pants.
Also dealt with one of these people recently. I copied a listing to make a test press and they were like are the credits on the test press? No idiot, but they're on the actual record and they didn't fucking change.

Meh. Riskier for labels since they have to front ~$8-15K per release, and then in this case where they added more to the order, you get that uncanny valley where the second batch comes months later.
Oh god no. A business has to front the money to run their business? What a terrible idea...
Maybe the rather than adding a "second batch" they should have just done a 2nd press...where the pressing comes out months later after it's pressed....

That's kinda my point though. It's not like labels are pulling dates out of thin air. Even in the middle of a pandemic the plants are going to be giving labels a timeline that the label is then going to make a decision on. The label can't help if the plants are wildly off on their estimate or get even more behind than when preorders go up. I'd say even more so now that countries have started shutting down again and putting restrictions back in place.
Maybe they should wait to put up the PO until the timeline is more clear...5 months is unacceptable.

Eh, it's not like they're getting dates from the pressing plant and saying, nah, I'm gonna tell people it's a month earlier than what the plants are saying for the preorder. If a label says hey, it's a preorder, expected ship date is x, I imagine that's bc the plant says that's when they EXPECT to have it done. Shit happens. Plants are taking longer, and I'm sure are telling every label on the planet they'll get it when they get to it. Nearly every record I've ordered this year has been delayed.
Like I said, 2 weeks - not a big deal, almost expected, but some other labels are at 5 months now. The preorders went up in the middle of the pandemic. You don't get to use "we're in the middle of a pandemic" as an excuse for a 5 month delay when you already knew we were in a pandemic when you took people's money.
If you put up a preorder in February/March and then had to wait for the records to come from another continent by boat I get it. If you put up a preorder in May you should have already known that was going to happen. -

I caved and bought, but that $36 shipping for three 10"s was brutal. Hoping these go up in the EU store.
NOFX was on Flight 13 also. You can check there.

Green Hell had a link to a yellow
Check story below about a yellow black version
Green Hell just said "Yel" which could be short for yellow/black split...

Its almost as if we are in a global pandemic, shit takes longer to get done and its having an effect on many labels hmmm....
Not complaining about a release being 2 weeks late, but I don't think you get to use the "we're in a global pandemic" excuse when you put up a pre-order in the middle of said pandemic.

I'd also add if we're going to do it we should grab both the pallet and the trunk, but looking at the picture of the trunk the tests may not be labeled and that could make figuring out what each one is time consuming
