Black Bubblegum, Unretrofied, etc.
For the most part, they're the songs I prefer listening to on the last couple of albums. The heavier songs I tend to skip or not get too excited about anymore.

It's a trick to get $20 out of you. But, unfortunately, according to ebay standards, you're in the wrong. He listed it for sale and shipping as $20. He made it clear. You didn't get a response before the auction ended so you have to agree to his terms. Happens all the time. It's no big deal but you'll get an unpaid item strike.
It's also a trick to avoid paying as much in eBay seller fees. You see quite a lot of this sort of thing for electronics accessories from China etc. which are listed with buy it now prices. If they charge $5 plus $30 shipping instead of a realistic $25 plus $10 shipping, they only pay the seller fees on $5 instead of $25.

I have hundreds of records, and whilst I have a decent turntable, speakers and amp, spaced far enough apart and on different surfaces to avoid the wrath of the internets, to be honest....
Most of my vinyl playing happens when I have friends over, am cooking or sitting on the balcony. Hardly positioning myself in the sweet spot for optimal sound, nor at the optimal height my ears are positioned in relation to the speakers, but you know what?
The enjoyment I have in listening to and dissecting an LP on the balcony with mates, or singing along with my girl while cooking dinner is much greater than sitting on the couch by myself singing along with the liner notes.

Shouldn't the options for the shirt be ladies sizes?

Never mind your dog pissing on records, I got home one day to find he'd pulled one out of the expedit and chewed the spine to bits.
It was my copy of the alchemy index.

For the record, ice is clear.
Unless it's the special Heisenberg-Ice, which is blue of course!

Oh lovely, so I will have to pay $7.50 shipping to get this record to me. And those of you looking to score more than one for people on the board may have to pay $7.50 PER record (nevermind, it turns out it's less now). This is how they have had their store set up during their holiday vinyl sale and it doesn't seem to have been changed much. I brought it up to them in some comments on their Facebook page and got a response from whoever does their Facebook stuff, but it seemed like they didn't care to change it for a while.
Now it looks like one LP is still $7.50 to ship and every additional LP is an extra $3.50. Still pretty ludicrous if you ask me. $11 to ship two records? $14.50 for 3? What the heck man...orch.
Be grateful you live where you do. I pay upwards of $15 shipping per record to get in on presales. If a record makes it to stores in Australia, the retail price is anywhere from $25 to $50 for something you would pay $10-20 for.
If it costs me less than $40 including shipping, i'm in front of buying it locally.

Where'd you find Rookie Lot on clear and how much was it?
Just bought it off eBay. We didn't know it was clear until it arrived, and until we spoke with the seller to confirm it was legit, we thought we'd bought a boot.

My whole Faith No More collection (all LPs, 75% of singles and the KFAD 7" boxset)
Thrice - vheissu(original press)/alchemy index/beggars/MM (even though my dog chewed the spine of the alchemy index!)
The Rookie Lot - 7" on clear & Brand New - YFW OG (I bought these as gifts for my girlfriend who loves brand new)
Give Up The Ghost - WDTWU original on clear
At the drive in - ROC
Thought Riot - The Dangerous Doctrine of Empathy 7" (the only wax they pressed, and my namesake)
Mischief Brew / Andrew Jackson Jihad 8" split on polka dots (this release is so damn cool)
The Living End - One Said To The Other 7" trilogy
Bob Dylan - Desire (still my most played record ever, I grew up listening to my parents copy of this, and still love it)
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here & dark side of the moon (my grandad has dementia, and I recently inherited his 150+ record collection including these two. Even though I own copies of these already, I will cherish these for years as they were his records that he looked after for over 30 years)

How can you approve mixes via email and phone? Email I can see but they're still probably just sending mp3's of versions of final mixes. I can't see how you could accurately approve a mix from a lossy file. Whatever. Just as long as they finish the shit on time.
Umm....they email him the mix and he calls up to discuss before approving it?

All of his covers feature fertilization. He mentions it in this badass interview they just shared on Facebook - http://www.ocartblog.com/2012/05/his-own-mythology-the-art-and-music-of-john-dyer-baizley/
Wow. Great interview.
Thanks for posting!
There was a great article in the April issue of Juxtapoz that looks like it was from the same interview, but was more expanded than the above link.

I held off on the Green Yellow split because of the cost and missed out, but have now ordered the cream orange, which I think I prefer.

You guys don't know how lucky you've got it in the US. I paid $15 AU for 7" singles on Saturday!

I hope my jbhifi order goes through.
this.
and this.
and this again.
Just got shipping confirmation on my JB HiFi order!
Hi Glenn,
Thanks again for your JB Hifi Online order.
Your order 4357486 was dispatched from our warehouse/supplier today and will be delivered to the address below.
1 - TOMAHAWK - Eponymous To Anonymous (Vinyl).
-
Maybe you shouldn't have ordered five copies?
-
I picked up two copies of this record and was able to order in time. I bought 2 so i would be able to make a trade for one of the following records...
Would anyone be interested in trading for any of these records:
AFI "Sing The Sorrow" LP
Dillinger Escape Plan "Miss Machine" LP
Bayside "Shudder" LP
Thrice "Beggars" LP
Thrice "The Alchemy Index" 4xLP
I actually have all of those records. I also have an OG Vheissu, so i'll have to pass on the trade!
-
i wanna thank this guy bigtime for this. $58 shipped will be MUCH cheaper than buying from outside Australia; except maybe from Amazon.
order placed.
thanks dude!
My pleasure! Glad to help out a fellow Aussie in getting something that was otherwise going to be an expensive mission!
-
For Australian peeps chasing this......JB HiFi is taking preorders. $57.99, but it's still cheaper than shipping from the US or UK.

If they have them for both weekends they will more than likely limit how many they are releasing per weekend i would assume - also they might only sell them on the day ATDI plays - sadly learned that lesson with faith no more : (
What faith no more item did you miss out on???

Wow. In all my years of selling bits and pieces on ebay, I never knew that!
