  1. I'm pretty sure not much has changed, except that when you call one of your buddies a fag, suddenly you're this angry hateful person who kills puppies.

No. Not necessarily an angry hateful person who kills puppies. Just one who is so callous, abrasive and haughty so as to use a particularly hurtful term in such a flippant way, and then double down on it because of your own foolish pride.

If no one in your real life will stop you in genuine earnest and say "It's not right or okay to say that," then I will. It isn't right. There is just no reason for it, and perpetuates a hateful culture. It's not okay.

Nope. It just shows you have a weak vocabulary for a 30 year old.

    this.

  2. Sorry, what a homo.  Whatever your favorite politically incorrect insult is.  And I wasn't arguing with anyone, just saying if you're a rock star, be a rock star.  No need to cry over spilled beer.  What's the #1 desired job on the entire planet?  It's not cashier, brain surgeon or sheet rocker.  If you could be anything in the world, tell me what you'd choose?  He should be too busy chucking TVs out hotel windows and kissing pretty girls (and equally as many ugly ones) to say, or even think of stuff like that.  Or, keeping to himself at the hotel and just looking at all the girls throwing themselves at you, give hugs, if destruction & sluts aren't your thing.  Even if you're a lower caliber band who sleeps in the van in Walmart parking lots between tour stops.  That's still completely awesome.

And no offense to the guy, I love Corey.  Don't know him personally, but he puts on a killer show & makes awesome music.

I'll never understand brazen and prideful homophobia.

Hate is not a good look on anyone.

  3. What a fag.  (I'm aware this is two years too late btw, but...)  Two sides to the illegal download debate, each with valid points I suppose, but I've been exposed to some of my favorite bands/artists via the illegal download.  Possibly Norma Jean.  But, I also go back and buy a band's discography if I like them enough to add them too my collection.  Granted many purchases come used on Amazon, eBay, local used stores, they don't get a soundscan point or paid for that, so is that shady business as well?  But-I'll buy any future purchases the day they come out, most often on the pre-order.  Also attend all live shows & buy merch there on occasion.

Bottom line, if you're in a band that makes money (regardless the amount, if you do it full time, and your band is ALL you do for a living), you've got a kick ass job, shut up and be a rock star.  I think if he traded places with any one of us regular job working losers for one day he'd be a little less mad.  He and that Metallica drummer can go make out.

AHHH, SHARK BITE, AHHH! is fucking sweet.  I wonder if they'll work this into their live show, that would be fun.  Looking forward to the new album, Norma Jean always brings something fun & interesting to the table.  Awesome live shows, too.  Seems to me an exceptional amount of hot chicks like Norma Jean, nothing wrong with a venue full of those every time either.

your argument is immediately made invalid by calling him a fag.

  4. Can we all just agree that people who listen to country music don't know how to illegally download and that's why that genre's album sales are always through the roof?

can I just say that I will sometimes watch the GIF in your signature for like... 5-10 minutes at a time.

  5. Hey VC. You know you guys are the greatest, right? That's good. You all look fine tonight.

I have something for you. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. Maybe you like the band, maybe you don't. Either way, I'll hope you can appreciate it.

I love college basketball, and I think the NCAA tourney (aka March Madness) is the best tournament, bar none, of any sport.

I also love music, a lot. It's why I'm here. One of those bands happens to be Cursive, helmed by Tim Kasher. I own all of their albums and give maximum effort to see them when they're here in Central Florida.

They also have a lot of songs! Hard to pick a favorite, right?

Well, I did, using an NCAA March Madness-style tournament. You can read the post here: http://onerecordperday.wordpress.com/2013/06/04/subjectiverumbles-cursive/

I was inspired by Rembert Browne, a writer for Grantland. In 2011, he did the exact same type of post for OutKast called the "Stankoff" and one earlier this year for Chappelle's Show Skits. I discovered the Stankoff as I was looking for the artwork for Aquemini, for my daily music writing project: One Record Per Day.

Check it out. Let me know what you think. I plan on doing more of these as this year goes along and would greatly appreciate any feedback.

    -Opera Mezza (2012 Redesign

    -Marantz PM6004

I know the turntable and receiver should not be stacked, but the gap in between is adequate. They will separate when i get the new 2x4 expedit

hey, i upgraded from the Ortofon on my Debut to the Shure M97xe and the difference is wild. It's affordable, too. Highly recommend.
