  1. Backed. Someone give this man a record label and some disposable income!
  2. Alright people, the fellatio line starts after him. But seriously, though -- what article was it?
  3. The first one that comes to mind is No Use For A Name's "Hard Rock Bottom." So terrible.
  4. I'm sure you already have this in there, but if not, don't forget about the Maritime pre-order Virgil's doing with the bonus 7".
  5. Seconded. I also really, really want this. Sidenote: A copy on LP went for only $10(!) on eBay two days ago -- how it completely slipped under my radar until after the auction ended is beyond me. Argh!
  6. Dunno, sorry. All I know is that it physically exists and is at the EVR offices right now.
  7. A friend who works for Equal Vision just told me that they're releasing the new Chiodos record on vinyl -- it actually just showed up to their office today. So keep an eye out for that if you're a fan (and Ben, you could throw that in VF7, too).
  8. Both "Mongrel" and "N.S.N." are being released on vinyl Oct. 23, FYI.
  9. I just got this press release about the Apple/Starbucks deal if anyone's interested: Apple and Starbucks Announce Music Partnership Wirelessly Find and Buy Music at Starbucks SAN FRANCISCO—September 5, 2007—Apple® and Starbucks today announced an exclusive partnership that lets customers wirelessly browse, search for, preview, buy and download music from the iTunes® Wi-Fi Music Store at Starbucks onto their iPod® touch, iPhone™ or PC or Mac® running iTunes while at a participating location. When a customer enters a participating location, their device will automatically recognize the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store using a high-speed Wi-Fi wireless network with no connection fee or hotspot login. Customers will be able to browse, search and freely preview millions of songs, including a new “Now Playing” service which displays the name of the song playing in the Starbucks store at that moment, then easily buy and download songs or albums directly to their device. Prices and selection on the Tunes Wi-Fi Music Store are the same as on the regular iTunes Store. The service will make its debut at more than 600 Starbucks company-operated locations in New York and Seattle on October 2. “Getting free access to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store and the ‘Now Playing’ service at Starbucks is a great way for customers to discover new music,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Imagine walking into a participating Starbucks, hearing a great song, and being able to instantly download it onto your iPod or iPhone. We think this is very cool.” “With this partnership, we’re bringing Apple’s leadership in digital music together with not only our retail footprint, but the unique Starbucks experience, to offer customers a world-class digital music experience,” said Howard Schultz, chairman, Starbucks Coffee Company. “Introducing this new service is a natural extension of our music strategy which only enhances the retail coffee experience for customers by helping them discover and acquire new music instantly.” After its debut in New York and Seattle on October 2, the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store will continue its national rollout to 350 Starbucks stores in the San Francisco Bay area on November 7; 500 stores in Los Angeles in early February 2008; 300 stores in Chicago in March 2008; and additional markets throughout the US later in 2008. The iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at Starbucks will run on the robust T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi network which is available at participating Starbucks locations across the US.
  10. It has to be an iPod. They pulled all their old stock out of retailers this weekend (my friend went to Best Buy on Saturday to buy one and there was nothing there -- an employee told him they had to send it all back to Apple). I'm definitely interested in what they did for this new gen. I've been rocking a 4g 20gig since 2004 via freeipods.com and it barely works anymore; I think it's about time I actually invest money in something instead of just relying on the internet to get me one for free.
  11. Also, make sure you have your email address in the new VF! You didn't have it in VF6. And you can mention the Bled and Rx Bandits news I unearthed this week (check their respective threads).
  12. Liars Academy re-formed last year and just released a two-song 7" on green vinyl on Goodwill Records, a label from Italy, in June. Dunno if they're still in stock but I just discovered it the other day and had never heard about it until the other day: http://myspace.com/liarsacademy http://www.goodwillrecords.net/
  13. Talk about a tragedy. I would kill to have United By Fate on vinyl.
  14. FYI, that Mates Of State record is a 7", you have it listed under 12"s.
  15. What will a lifetime subscription to AP get me?
  16. Just got a 7" I bought from fckyourlies -- it was impeccably packaged and in perfect condition. Great seller!
  17. Just got a 7" I bought from fckyourlies -- it was impeccably packaged and in perfect condition. Great seller!
  18. They pressed 1000 total of the S/T, with 100 on clear and 900 on black. I got mine when they played Cleveland on the AP Tour (and they still made me pay $15 for it!).
