  1. Hey! What about me? I was the first one to reply. - Jeff True, but Jacobe's a fellow Ohioan and Andy actually PMed me his address asking for one before I even made this thread. Instead of worrying about getting a free poster to a show you're not going to, you should have sex with your girlfriend instead. That'll teach me a lesson.
  2. Okay, I only have three (Kirby, I already set one aside for you), so Jacobe and Andy, send me your addresses. Mrbananagrabber, I'm sending you one too since I promised you one in the other thread, but I already have your address. Sorry to everyone else, but if I get anymore, I'll let you all know.
  3. That can't be right -- they've only pressed 1100 of the Rage 10"? That thing is still available everywhere!
  4. So No Idea sent me a number of Fest 6 posters in the mail the other day. They look more or less like this: They're probably 24" x 36" -- bigger than last year's, that's for sure. They're printed in color on newspaper, and pre-folded. If you want one for free, post in this thread to reserve one. When I get to work tomorrow, I'll count up how many extras I have (I think I have 5 or 6 total) and PM the first people who requested one for their addresses. This is only for U.S. residents (sorry, Canucks!).
  5. Sorry! My PM inbox was mega-cluttered. I just replied.
  6. The Velvet Teen's "Elysium" is pretty mind-blowing in general but even more so on double 10".
  7. After Recordnerd went down for so long, I never did understand why people decided to go back to it or use another site, just because of this fear. While Google Spreadsheets will likely never go down, it's still based on uploading an Excel sheet from your computer. I never have to worry about losing my list: my computer crashes, the list is online; the list goes down, I have it on my computer. - Jeff The first thing I'm going to do when I rule the world is shut down Google Spreadsheets. The second thing i'm going to do is pay thugs to go to your house and destroy your computer.
  8. My VC order came in: Tuesday - Freewheelin' LP Against Me! - From Her Lips To God's Ears 12" The Faint - Mote/Dust 12" Chris Wollard/Mike Hale split 7" Ted Leo/Fiery Furnaces split 7"
  9. Saw these dudes open for Modest Mouse the other week. They weren't bad, but it got a little boring after a half-hour (their set was a shade over 45 minutes). The singer had some gems of between-song banter, though.
  10. I actually got a bunch of Fest 6 posters in the mail -- they're just basically this year's artwork and lineup printed on newspaper, but they're in color and are pretty big. If you want one, PM me your address and I'll mail you one.
  11. "You Must Be Willing," the B-side to the new Against Me! 7-inch, sounds really, really great on my player. Not sure what it is about it, but it doesn't sound nearly as good to me on my computer or anything.
  12. Iggy Pop was indeed on that show. He was Nona Mecklenberg's dad. Michael Stipe from R.E.M. made a guest appearance in one episode as an ice cream salesman, and Luscious Jackson actually performed in another. Most episodes had background music from the Magnetic Fields, too. I'm pretty sure Pete & Pete got me into indie rock without me even knowing it.
  13. Is there a reason you're looking specifically for pubic hair on teenage boys?
  14. If that's the case, then I definitely would love for you to pick me up a copy and I will reimburse you. Thanks!
  15. It's not on insound, interpunk or VC... Zach, before you buy one for me let me know how much it is if you can -- it looks like you can order one off A&C's website for $18 USD + shipping, so if the retail one is more expensive than that, I might just go the mailorder route...
  16. Bumping out of oblivion -- has anyone gotten this yet? I'm still waiting for mine...
  17. Anyone know if this album was pressed or is going to be pressed on vinyl? I just saw her perform "1234" on Letterman a few minutes ago and was reminded just how good it was. Sidenote for anyone who watched the Letterman performance -- two of the people in the backing choir were Kori and Jason from Mates Of State. I thought that was kinda neat. Didn't recognize any of the other people, though.
  18. steventangent won my PMFS test pressing on eBay and paid right away, like any good buyer should. Definitely someone who's safe to deal with!

  20. You missed out on what was seriously one of the most creative "kids" shows of the '90s. Watch a full episode here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf5sBLkFJ20 Seasons 1 and 2 came out on DVD but then Nickelodeon put the halt on the 3rd and final season, so no one knows if/when it will ever come out.
  21. Don't worry: Dude folds pants at Diesel in Brooklyn for a living. You're better than him.
  22. Has anyone ever SCUBA dived or snorkeled before? I got to go snorkeling off the Florida Keys about 10 years ago and it was incredible -- barracudas swimming within 5 yards of me, 10-foot nurse sharks below me, sting rays; it was seriously incredible (until my dad got motion sickness in the ocean and threw up, scaring away all the fish).
  23. I'm not stoked on the Dear Hunter recorded, but they were great live when I saw them open for Boys Night Out the other night. At one point, their keyboardist was playing a part with one hand, shaking a shaker with the other and singing harmonies all at the same time. Very impressive.
