The reissue sounds amazing to me. Maybe they messed up on some of the presses accidentally....or maybe my hearing is messed up :-/

I think sometimes Amazon finds a couple of boxes or a small shipment of certain albums they just completely forgot about. (obviously just my theory). Since Amazon is so large they probably just sell them close to retail since they might not want to take the extra time to research and see how much they can raise the price and still maintain optimal sales. I've seen this happen with a Sigur Ros single that is pretty rare. It was in stock for a couple of weeks and then out of stock. I was wary so I didn't order any copies for like 10 bucks ahhh. I must have deduced that I would end up getting the CD or something. Ended up just feeling like an asshole on that one as a collector haha. I didn't want to make the same mistake this time! haha yeah a swirl would definitely be badass. I modified my post because I realized I was being too harsh for no reason at all. If people are going to buy the new variants I guess it doesn't hurt to press them! Why would you be sad if they remastered it? Just curious.

Got my copy yesterday and the packaging was top notch!! I forgot to see which number I got. I did get a piece of notebook paper with hand written lyrics or a set-list as an extra which was pretty awesome!! Thanks a lot and I hope to buy some more cool stuff from you in the future! I want to own a record store someday (sooner rather than later) and I will definitely use your example when it comes to customer satisfaction and just overall badass-ness! -Rajiv

yeah ugh. i used to work at the west county store and that store always carries vinyl (no clue why) but now i work at the st clair store and we dont get anything and i order everything offline. nice! The last time I was at the West County store they didn't have much but at least they had SOMETHING (unlike the Galleria which is the closest to me). I might make the journey to Mid Rivers Mall tomorrow...wish me luck! haha

Do you have any Newbury Comics locations around you?? I've always wondered what the physical store is actually like since I've only purchased stuff from them online! The hot topics in St. Louis, MO don't care much for vinyl either..i feel your pain

Cassette Tapes can be pretty cool from a collector's standpoint. When I purchase old LPs and cassettes it's not necessarily about how awesome it will sound. To me the rush comes from owning "pieces of history" that were owned and played by another fan of the same bands before I was born! Pretty cool to think about..

It says a lot about the business that I can afford to sell a record for $9.99 (or two for $15)... then again I don't do this to get rich, I do it to keep busy. You rule. Ordered a copy after seeing this thread!

Chuck was actually released on vinyl a few years ago. It was just sitting at my record store every time I went there for like 6 bucks so I finally just bought it lol

Got three picture discs of Sublime's 40 oz. to freedom (all in different colors) from the Hot Topic Clearance section for about 5 bucks each. Bought them and sold them about three years ago before I realized how much I love that album..

definitely in all time favorites for album covert art. So excited to be able to frame and hang up the record sleeve while listening to the album itself on sweet, sweet vinyl
