  1. ditto. classic black for everywhere. exclusive color buying from the band. and indie exclusive to help mom and pop. 3 is the charm.
  2. any super fan who wants a complete collection probably will. I see a lot of bands doing cassettes over the past couple years...I just hope they don't do the vinyl variant craze for cassettes too. but its definitely cool to get albums released on the 3 most successful music formats of the century. vinyl, cass, cd.
  3. lol. I know. I work in a store and all people do is complain about prices all day, every day, while something only cost $20. on average people make about $12-20 per hour so its really no big deal and if it is, it could easily be not a big deal but staying clocked in an extra hour. when I go to buy something I hardly ever even glance at the price tag and if I do, i ask myself how much would it cost me to make it myself? or in this case how much would it cost you to go to germany to pick it up to transport it back yourself?
  4. we should have a new thread called "guess the number of variants" and when a new album is announced we try to guess how many variants there will be by release date... not just for blink but for all bands. or we could just do it in the thread itself.
  5. yeah buddha is a demo. you cant just count a demo as an album but its ok. its just a name...you don't have to name an album a number and have it be the same as the number of studio album you have. so it don't matter either way. the album is named nine and that's that, whatever.
  6. still waiting on sum super fan to post their pic of every variant in one shot.
  7. this is that best and most successful album...they kind of disappeared after this one.
  8. that is strange...I havent seen hype stickers in a long time. edit- are you talking about the sticker that says "gold color vinyl" because I wouldn't really call that a hype sticker.
  9. don't punch me since I get this is the vinyl forum but I noticed that the CD in the north America is in a digi-pack and the CD in japan is in a jewel case. I thought that was strange.
  10. I was not counting RSD, everything is closer to $30+ for even the most basic release (ie ep or single) on RSD but that is ok because its a day to help support small mom and pop shops. depends how you collect. if you buy just your fav albums on vinyl you'd prob have about a dozen LPs but if you buy everything you like on vinyl then your in trouble. I think most just buy their fav bands stuff + their fav albums by other bands...but seeing some collections of people I think I am wrong.
  11. limited to 1,000 units on 'tombstone grey vinyl' and you get an instant download of the single "avoid everybody" price says 9.99 which makes me think its an error because it should probably cost closer to 19.99 http://www.inmemoryofmysociallife.com/preorder edit: yes probably an error in price because the site is down so they are most likely fixing that before the site is back up.
  12. well it makes most sense to just buy 1 unless its your most favorite band and you want them for collection purpose.
  13. 2 more colors, black from amazon/all retailers and red was just announced on twitter as an exclusive from some store.
  14. what is with soundtracks being released on vinyl these days? does anyone even care about a soundtrack? I think like 99% of people just download the song they like by their fav band.
  15. the long description says they pretty much recorded each song 2x (like 2 master versions). I think this album has the same tracklist but the first master recording of each song. and then you also get 50ish other demos to stream.
  16. reads like its a new pressing of the album (new album cover and circle labels) with a track listing that features a different recording of each song on the album that was originally released. it also appears you get to unlimitly stream about 50 alternative versions of songs from the album... correct?
  17. their first 2 albums I was very young so they were not part of my life, I do like a couple songs from those early albums but they are really before my time...now the albums follow the leader, issues, and untouchables. those albums rocked my childhood. and maybe even some of take a look in the mirror... but a new band by the name of the used was blowing up around that time and they took the place as my favorite band and from the 'see you on the other side' album onward I lost track of korn and they fizzled away from me. I only would hear that they were releasing yet another album year after year but I don't remember checking out more then just the lead single and I have not listened to one of their albums in its entire from 'see you on the other side' onward...but now I kind of want to since it looks like there are 7 albums to check out.
