Yeah I did the same - that went *FAST*.

Well, you have to consider that there are probably about 150-200 flat rate subscribers and the part that goes to Indiemerch. I checked and initially there were only around 40 copies available for the general public from Pelagic Records.

I've tried email (to the shop and to Robin), Instagram and Facebook. No reply, not even read. I'll try Paul or Dennis directly.

I think Robin is not so super into all shop stuff and more managing the bands. Good luck to you, though. I need to get over there myself and pick up quite a lot as well, but work's keeping me busy.

Only hope I won’t be hit with import duties later on

Depending on where you live and on how overworked your postoffice is you definitely will. At least that's the case for me, additionally the postoffice charges a service fee for being so nice to take care of calculating and claiming the import taxes. And that puts me off of it unfortunately.

The single didn't blow me away, but I liked it enough where I'm interested to hear more.  Wasn't enough for an immediate buy though.

Yeah I felt the same, but after one time through the album the songs with Kristin Hayter taking the lead are a bit more accessible, not so much on the heavy side (as the ones with Dylan Walker), more fragile... it's a pretty bleak trip overall! Still not totally convinced though to buy right now, but I think it's similar to the Lingua Ignota albums for me, that it just takes a while to get into the music to appreciate it fully.

If you're wondering what I'm talking about: Dig a bit into the Thrill Jockey website and you can find and download all tracks already, I was quite surprised by that.

Mastermind Tamás Kátai seems to have a deep dive into Hungarian folk again (also tons of "Rengeteg" era feelings here which I more than welcome):

This has been the case for a while.  Before "Salvation" got repressed, OG copies were going for $100+ on Discogs.  I nearly pulled the trigger myself.

He kind of has a point though.  It could be that Cult of Luna is continuing to grow and write great music while the Isis catalog stays put....  but I see where he's coming from.  Isis is inherently independent....  their material stands alone, but they do a different thing.  They went for the cosmic groove where the universe swallows itself up and you're blasted out of a cannon into a psilocybe cosmic vortex with all these hypnotic, low-dynamic grooves (ie: So Did We, The Beginning and the End, Weight).  Cult of Luna does it but in like, a loud sense.  Same intensity, different dynamic levels.

Also False Light still makes me want to punch walls and pick up change like when I was 16.

TL;DR-----  Isis and Cult of Luna rule.

    Also, Rosetta.  :)

Well said, I couldn't put it in better words!
