Anyone who contacted them for a tracking # actually know if yours went out yet? Cause from the sounds of this they haven't even got them yet. I'm hoping for those of us who got "shipped" notifications that we will be in the first batch and won't have to wait for however long it takes to get the next set pressed.

Mine is due to arrive on my birthday, which is Wednesday.

No. I got it from World Records. World is starting to stock more vinyl again. Going underground is great! He gets in a lot of different stuff from punk, rock, reggae, rap etc. used and new releases at a decent price. Definitely worth checking out. Its a pretty small place so its a good place to kill a couple hours.

Oh no, I've been there, just not on RSD. I forgot about World Records. Haven't been there since they were next to GU. Hopefully next year I can make it out to RSD.

Did you get your box from Going Underground? I've never been there (for RSD) or anywhere for that matter due to my work schedule, but I've always wanted to. If so, do they get many releases?

I don't think it's fair for people to rag on you - especially if it's for your kid. Guaranteed 75% of the members here have overpayed for a record or two for themselves, nevermind on something for their kids. I mean... how many people's parents over payed for a Tickle Me Elmo years ago?

Haha thanks. Nobody's really ragged on me. It's just when he said 'one person' on the boards payed 40, I know he's talking about me, because I was the only person who admitted to paying that much.

To be fair there was maybe one person that paid $40 for it and a metric shit ton of weirdos on eBay paying $100+ for it. Just that RSD fever, if it came out in the middle of the summer or fall people would be laughing at the $18-$20 sticker price for a 1 song, 3 remix GITD 10". More importantly it wasn't $40+ at most stores, that's just what the aftermarket has priced it at.

Not trying to play devil's advocate, this Garden State soundtrack has a stupid price tag and I suggest everyone vote with their dollars and not buy this. Just my opinion, if someone thinks it's worth $40 then more power to them and they should let me know if their employer is currently hiring.

If I may briefly defend my actions regarding paying 40 bucks for Ghostbusters. I rarely, if ever acquire my vinyl through overpaying in the secondary market. I can't remember the last time I overpayed for anything like that (not even to complete my Fireworks collection). I'm starting to collect some vinyl based on things my kids like. I'm going to give it to my youngest daughter who really likes that song and movie. I'm guilty. As far as buying something like this that is initially released at a ludicrous cost from the get go, I think it's ridiculous, and there's really no justification for it.

Hey all! So, unfortunately I missed out on RSD and on their website, but I decided to buy a copy off ebay because Cake is in my top 3 bands of all time, and I wanted this badly. Felt a little guilty about overpaying (paid $250 shipped), but it's only money and I really wanted this.

Well, just got it today, opened the box, and there is a ninth album in mine! Think this is a legit signed copy of Showroom? I am playing it now, and it is indeed Showroom of Compassion. Thoughts? Here is a picture of it:
