I'm very curious about this record. Does anyone have a link to the leak? I can't seem to find it anywhere, it seems like their PR is doing a great job shutting down this leak as fast as people are posting it. EDIT: Found it.

But I do have to say, this is the most promising track I've yet to hear from the new record.

I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way, but to me, every track released so far has been extremely underwhelming.. which is really upsetting. I love this band and their releases have always been an instant love. But this one, it's going to take some time.

Honestly, I stopped playing em after TH's Underground. Haha But "Armageddon" was featured on that soundtrack. That whole soundtrack was killer. Haha

It's also impossible to change your user name on the mobile site. Since the new site change over, I'm having a hard time changing my name back to what it was before the switch..

I'm really surprised you haven't listened to Alkaline Trio.. They've been a pretty popular band over the past, what, 15 years? Have you not played a Tony Hawk game? Haha

I waited for the official drop to listen to this record, and my first impression is that I'm not impressed. Most of the tracks seem to sound like the next, and Mark's vocals are way too worked.. maybe this'll will grow on me. But, for now, super disappointed.

Wow, if I knew I had a chance to snag the Stranger Ways 7" as one of the goodies I would have pulled the trigger this morning.. oh well.

Thanks guys! I'm so undecided though.. I have all of their albums so buying this would be pretty pointless but it looks so amazing. Haha

I'm really excited for this record. To me, Switchfoot has always been one of those bands that consistently releases quality music over the years. With that being said, ironically, I'm not too impressed with the two tracks released from the new LP; Float sounds oddly like a Prince tribute track.. and Live It Well sounds like the quintessential Switchfoot track that they seem to write for every record. As much as it sounds like I'm bashing these songs, I'm not. I was just hoping for more of a powerful two songs from the forthcoming record. But maybe they released these two tracks to show how diverse the record is going to be?

I haven't heard the EP, but Vroom Vroom is a terrible track. I don't get the appeal..

Still feeling this song has a weird AVA vibe to it. I have no complaints, I just feel like that was intentional as a jab to Tom.

does anyone else think that the "ooh oohs" in the chorus and the outros sound oddly like Angels?

I do and I'm soooooo broke right now.. haha I'm guessing you know something that's going to equally excite us and scare us. haha with how long this record took to come about and with the lack of members (and the rotating door of members joining and leaving during this recording), it's hard to see them continuing past this record. I completely and honestly hope I'm wrong since I've loved this band for over 15 years, but this is just a feeling I get with them.

and honestly, I'm not a fan of the artwork either; it's incredibly boring. Don't get me wrong, I love great photography, especially since my girlfriend is a photography major and I've honed my ability to appreciate fine work, but this artwork doesn't pop for me nor is it exciting. Considering this is probably their final record as a band, I was hoping for them to have something more unique and and signature. But as I write this, I now realize they have become more of a mellow rock band of the past few years so maybe this art is perfectly representative of how the album is going to sound, and what the band now sees themselves.. eh.

Something is happening at midnight.. Maybe an official single drop? Let's hope. I also hope the preorder for the album isn't until a few weeks out. With RSD this Saturday, and dropping cash for a test press of Hot Hot Heat's new upcoming LP I'll be broke for awhile..
