Sidenote: I hate Topspin...you never get the email receipt right away and so far their service has been less than stellar.

beardacus reacted to atarirec in PO (coming soon) Margot and the Nuclear So and So's - Dust of Retreat
Gold club pledgers (initial posting: http://boards.vinylc...+margot +pledge)... received the following earlier today:
"Hello Pledge Gold Club members,
The time has finally come for the pre-order for the Dust of Retreat vinyl! As promised, you Gold Club members get first crack at them. You can follow the provided link to order either the Dust of Retreat Vinyl, or the Dust of Retreat Vinyl Combo. The combo includes the vinyl, a signed artwork print and a t-shirt, featuring artwork from the Dust of Retreat.
Please note that this is a pre-order, so it will still be a while before you actually receive your Dust vinyl -- vinyl manufacturing is a notoriously time- consuming process, and the plants aren't really punctual to boot. KEEP ME UPDATED ON YOUR CURRENT ADDRESSES TO AVOID LOST SHIPMENTS.
Come Tuesday, this link will be live to the general public, so get yours while you can. Earlier orders will have earlier numbers (each vinyl will be hand- numbered), and some will be colored vinyl."
I won't post the link on the board, but, for those VC folk who absolutely MUST order now, send me a PM... I'm busy for the remainder of the day, and will attempt to respond to your message promptly. Vinyl is $25 plus $3.50 S/H (U.S.) and the combo is $55...

Ordered the black last night as well from King's Road. As far as another press, I would like to see Epitaph do another color like the color of the orange stipe on the cover.

That is a good question. Haha.
As for what everyone else said, I think out of Fearless' catalog, this was a good choice. This album had a huge fanbase. The only other Fearless albums I think that have been pressed are Go Radio's Lucky Street. Well, now that I look it up, they've had ADTI, Portugal, and some other bands who had vinyl. I think they could press some The Main, Skylit Drive, more Sugarcult... I would personally love to see some Pierce the Veil vinyl. I think that Alesana album (the one with all the Edgar Alan Poe stuff, can't remember that name) would be good on vinyl, and I think I remember seeing their first album on vinyl. I know that's a lot, and I'm not saying they should press it all, but it's just some I think would do well. Relatively.
Now Rise Records; they need to get to work. I would love Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa, and Jonny Craig on vinyl. But I think that's about all the vinyl by them I'd buy.

On vinyl mine would be 'So Long, Astoria' by The Ataris
and on CD would be Wrap Me Up In Plastic by Sugarcult (purchased a copy owned by the guitarist of Sugarcult)

You know something? As a hardcore MtB uber-fanboy...much like Scotty H. there...I was at first turned off somewhat by OMNI. It didn't initially gel with me...it was a different sound and style for the band compared to all prior releases. But the more I listened to it, it grew on me and now competely dig it.
I can't remember who it was that posted it, but they said OMNI felt like a perfect Summertime record...I couldn't agree more. It's a record to chill to on a backyard patio or deck with a cold beer in hand watching the sunset.

beardacus got a reaction from EverythingIsGreen in PO: Motion City Soundtrack "Go"
If that's the worst they can do, that's pretty awesome. That record was definitely my least favorite of theirs, but it was still solid. Completely stoked for Go. Also, their best record, in my opinion, was Even If It Kills Me. By far.
