I ordered that Siamese Dream / Gish combo from popmarket last November. They kept pushing the date out and eventually just canceled my order last week. The customer service isn't very good either. Every time I enquired about my order they said they'd have to escalate it and I'd never hear back again. YMMV.

I ordered YPAA on Saturday the 1st and got a shipped notice from PayPal on Sunday the 2nd. No tracking number or anything.

And if I read this right, I can just install my 1TB, turn on and hold down command-r, and download Mountain Lion by server? If that's the case what I'll do is just download it, then network share from my old computer to transfer files.

That's the way I read it. Also, once everything is installed and running, I'd boot your old computer into FireWire disk mode and connect it to your new computer. It will be way faster than copying over the network. You can even use migration assistant on the new computer to copy your entire user over to the new computer.

Then you could just migrate directly from the 160.

It might not be that simple. How do you plan on backing up the 500 to the 160? You will more than likely need a full bootable clone to restore to the 1TB once it is installed in the new computer.

The easiest way to accomplish this is with an external hard drive (or an empty hard drive enclosure to install the 1TB in temporarily). In fact, if you were to get an enclosure, you could install the 500GB drive into it when you are through and use it for extra storage.

Are you guys holding down the shift key when refreshing?  It clears the cache and loads from scratch. It helps.

Sorry for the radio silence. Been too busy with teaching and studio to continue the distro of the vinyl records. I've been watching eBay for this for a while. Happily ordered.

Last year I got to my store ten minutes before opening and was like fourth or fifth in line. This year it went completely around the corner. Thank god I am home and got what I wanted. My ears are all stuffy because I am sick so I can't even enjoy this stuff right now. Fuck.

Sounds like my experience. I actually left because I didn't want to deal with it. Went to another store and everything was pretty well picked over already. There were a few cool people at the front of the crowd that were calling out titles and passing them back to people that couldn't get near the bins. A relatively civil crowd. I'm going to hit up a few stores later when the crowds die out and see if there is anything worth while left over.

Both are gone now. If he put up 50 this time around, that leaves about 200 or so copies of YPAA and 25 or so of Electra....  Gonna have to be on the ball next time.

Got an Electra, but no YPAA. Gonna keep trying until it says sold out. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I'm still waiting on my order for the Gish and Siamese Dream deluxe CDs I ordered from them back in November.

My guess is that they haven't shipped yet. This is a slow moving train here. The original intent was to have these ready last Thanksgiving, but we know how that went.
