  1. They're pretty stupid to discontinue such a common color.

Thats what I thought too, but my local store told me the color was discontinued. The last time I was at the store, there was no stock of any besta product in that color, but I just checked online and they definitely have stock now. Who knows what is really going on.

  2. Does anybody know if there is a relationship between SRC and RJ on this (or any of his other releases that SRC picked up on). I'd imagine not, but if RJ were to get even one penny from the this, it'd be BS.

I would like to get this, but I'm already $39 into it and the $5 offering is a mere slap in the face. I'm going to pass.

The silver lining is that if I were to get it, I'd be able to post in the "What's the most you've ever spent" thread.

  3.  Does anyone own an Apple trackpad?  They look sleek as hell, and I'm considering going that route for casual navigation.  I'll always be a mouse-guy when it comes to pixel perfect alignment in Photoshop, etc.

I recently picked one up for use with my iMac and it is pretty great once you learn all the guestures. I barely use the mouse at all any more. Only for the few precision tasks I come across. I would like to see a wired version. Wireless is not necessary for my desktop machine, but battery life is pretty good. My rechargeables last at least 4 weeks of daily use (~2 hours/day).

  4. RJ/AFS started this project a long time ago. They obviously never completed it before the license was transfered to SRC. However the plates were done before we were given the license. The plates for vinyl were kept in Universals control (as with any major label license deal). I asked RJ since the mastering was done when he was supposed to do this project and he said that Walter had it remastered for vinyl at Sterling Sound. The plates were made from that master.

This may be why it was a bit confusing. We were told it was remastered but no other details than that. It took me a bit to get RJ to respond to my email about the details of the remaster.

    Hope that helps!

It's ironic that RJ is immortalized in the dead wax.

Hey, did this turn out to be a double in the end? Cheers!

Q: How come the Merge LP version of Icky Mettle is only a single disc when the one on Fire Records is a 2xLP?

A: The Fire version is just one LP as well.
