The preorder for the remastered vinyl of Terzij de Horde "A Rage of Rapture Against the Dying of the Light" is now live in our store. These are being pressed now and will be shipping no later than the week of September 12th. For those who aren't familiar, these guys are a black/doom metal back from The Netherlands and are for fans of Altar of Plagues, Deathspell Omega, Thou, Wolves in the Throne Room, Khanate and 16 Horsepower, among others. It is limited to 500 copies, all 180 gram vinyl, 300 black (1st 100 hand numbered), 200 gold, in a gatefold reverse board jacket. The audio has been completely remastered from the high resolution master files and sounds much much better than the original digital version. Both the band and I agree that there was a huge improvement in overall sound quality for this album after hearing the test pressings several times. Thanks Guys. I think I had emailed Walt when I first came up with this idea, but didn't hear back from him. I used imprint for my first release, they were great to work with. I didn't realize how the die cutting process works, having to create the die, etc. I'll check w/ walt and possibly iheartu.

So I want to do a record jacket with a custom die cut cover. I've seen this done before, notably on Coalesce's 10th Anniversary edition of Functioning On Impatience, where the rib bones were cut out. http://www.bluecollardistro.com/coalesce/product_info.php?products_id=2714&cPath=32_291&store= I can't seem to find any companies that offer this on their sites. I know it can be done, and I'd like to know how much it would cost to see if its worth pursuing or not. Any help?

This looks awesome. I got all of the metal blade colored discs a while back, but I decided against their most recent two albums (christ illusion and world painted blood), waiting for something like this. $141 after shipping really isn't bad at all. I don't understand why Amazon is showing it as $199 msrp though. Hopefully Aural Exploits gets this, and puts it up with their 5% pre-order discount.

I've been in contact with Toby Driver of maudlin of the Well (and currently Kayo Dot), regarding pressing their 2009 release "Part the Second". This album was self released and totally fan funded. That's strange they would charge different prices at the same show. I'm sure the show was great, I've only seen Isis once, and loved it. Never saw the Melvins, but would expect it to be great as well.
