  1. So guys The One Day Savior store is finally open. Its not linked to the main site yet, so you have to access it via this link www.onedaysaviorshop.com It seems to be working fine, its been tested on 2 occasions. Thus far, paypal is the only payment accepted. What I wanted to ask was for some thoughts. Let me know what you guys think of it, if there could be something that would make it more functional, etc etc. You get the deal. Oh and some test presses are up in there too, I guess kind of an exclusive to you vc users in exchange for the advice. so please let me know what you think guys. Thanks in advance
  2. from One Day Savior: I am very excited to announce the vinyl release of The Gloria Record's "Start Here". Originally released in 2002 on Arena Rock, "Start Here" was The Gloria Record's first and only full length recording before disbanding a short while later. Its truly a beautiful record, one that I don't skip from track to track on, its a sonic journey for the listener and its one that I am truly happy to be a part of. Details are still being worked out as far as production goes however it will feature a bonus track that was not on the album. There will be both 180 gram & limited colored vinyl and chances are, if all goes well, it will see a June release date.
  3. what i would suggest is that you create a portal/wiki/separate portion of this messageboard for shareholders that goes into detail about the record making process/pressing plants/etc as well updates you on the status of ongoing and upcoming projects, that way each one of you can have access to information on a continual basis.
  4. the idea of pressing you are my canvas as a 10" or 7" was kicked around, however we settled on the ep instead and just adding the bonus track.
  5. they are taking a break at this point so they have no touring scheduled. he said that they dont have a need at this point for more copies. i am going to put in a request to grab some more for my store which launches soon.
  6. yeah its funny, jeff had no idea we were trying to license those
  7. damn.....makes me wish we didnt sell any of the 490 and just waited 6 months. hehe. justin, i will drop you an email tonight. i spoke with jeff yesterday
  8. i wonder if the sold out includes those getting refunded, because some had to order another because of the shipping error
  9. all of you antarctica fans need to check out ova looven, if you havent already. it picks up where the double cd left off.
  10. antarctica was never pressed on vinyl unfortunately. i wish someone out there would do a 2xLP! Doubt many people even remember that band. You dig Ova Looven (ex-antarctica) they have a 12"
  11. is the vinyl scuffed or the jacket? i have plenty of extra vinyl (since some jackets were damaged) so if its just the vinyl you dont need to buy one. email me and we will work it out
  12. the covers did have some problems and i am already talking with the plant about this. thus far we have found 50 (out of 1100) and i am working on getting the issued resolved. it appears as though the jackets had imperfections (cuts and/or gashes) before the printing was ever done, so they ended up being printed on. whoever has a cover like this, email me and i will replace it. the black boxes on the cover appear to be from the shrinkwrap machine and/or pressing plant as well. 99% of those dont have that either. i would never have let a jacket go out with noticeable marks but it took me 100 or so orders before i realized. again, contact with me any issues and i will get everything worked out and taken care of.
  13. as i mentioned, i have the full artwork sleeve version & the gold version. i would be happy to take pics. i dont really know much about the history of them, so i am assuming the information you guys provided is correct. i never actually saw or knew about the full artwork version so when i saw it up on ebay back then i grabbed it. i have no idea how many are out there, of course it would be nice to know. i wonder how many subscribers there was at the time...
  14. chances are it wont be up until the end of the month at the earliest, most likely around the first week of march
  15. immigrant sun used alpha records, a plant from s. florida that no idea often uses. they are notorious for switching colors without properly cleaning the plates and/or machine resulting in many color variants depending on how many colors you get and how long it takes for the colors to work there way through. it makes for a pretty awesome record but its a nightmare when trying to catalog
  16. its hard to say, i see clear which is limited to 100 go for $45, so you think /8 would be higher. its impossible to assess fair value on records you have done. if $50 is the number that all of you think is accurate then i certainly would put it up there for $50.00
  17. well the hopesfall sold for around $50, which i thought was a little low just in my opinion. embodyment sold for about 30 which is fairly accurate i think movielife has sold in the past but i have no idea how much for and hopesfall's 10 is new, so no
  18. Hey guys I need some advice. I am currently building a new online store for One Day Savior in order to avoid the ridiculous shipping charges that Merchdirect applies to every order and make it a more functional and cheap way for everyone to purchase records from the label. One thing I noticed is that I have some test presses here at my place for records like Hopesfall, Embodyment, The Movielife, etc. and I was wondering, I would like to sell them via the online store but I dont want to basically have them be exteremely overpriced or cheap, so.... I want your help, what do you think the following prices should be for: The Movielife/Ex Number split 7" Test Press /8 (I have one copy extra) Hopesfall "The Satellite Years" LP Test Press /5 (I have 3 extra) Embodyment "Hold Your Breath" LP Test Press /8 (I have 2 extra) Hopesfall "No Wings To Speak Of" 10" Test Press /8 w/Handmade Jacket (I will have one extra when they are completed) I know some of you have offered me money for these in the past but the truth is that I want it to be money that goes toward the label and drives people to the website/webstore. I wont be selling them early and it will be first come/first serve. Let me know what you guys think of the idea.
  19. i bought two copies, one with gold sleeves and one with the full artwork versions, both around $60 or so about 2 years back
  20. i tried very very very hard to get the last record pressed just before they broke up and the label nor the band would respond. it was disappointing to say the least neither have been pressed
  21. thought you guys might want this info for your tradelists: Pressing Information 8 Test Presses with Handmade Jackets 544 on Light Blue* 549 on Light Green* additional information: Mastered at Aardvark. Labels & Inserts pressed at Imprint. Jackets pressed at Dorado. Vinyl pressed at Erika Records. *Unfortunately roughly 50 jackets were destroyed by the plant and therefore 50 pieces of vinyl have no covers. There is a special project underway that will evntually use these, but its going to take some time.
  22. tooth and nail is actually pretty easy to work with, the have drafted numerous agreements for vinyl with several labels. gilead just did mewithoutyou.
