virgil has the vinyl in, but the sleeves were damaged, so he is waiting on the new sleeves to arrive. At least that's what I've been told, virgil can probably give us more info on that...

I'm just wondering if they'll drop the vinyl or not. I mean, why not do it now all at once? Either way, I'll be checking the site throughout the day to see, better to be safe than sorry.

used to have an oink account ages ago and then it was gone, ratio was legit and no hit and running, so no clue on that, bummer dude. I have a what.cd account now, not a good enough ratio since I use at home on dialup to give out invites, but I'm liking it! And yes, waffles are most excellent! My girlfriend makes them for me a few times a week since it's easy and she knows I love them. I'm also a sucker for the eggo ones too! Or strawberry waffles with whip cream, holy shit!

It's kind of funny because ten years ago I tried to start a small mailorder distro and the first label who hooked me up was fearless, screaming deals on vinyl and the more I bought, the better deal I got from them. Wish I had hung onto more of the stuff I had from them.

yeah, I ain't worried about it and rarely post over there much anyways, just heard bits and pieces about it and figured I would mention it. I know life gets hectic, I'm guilty of setting dates and missing them, so whatever, no harm done, I'm siked on the site as is, so like I said, if he can make it better, damn, more power to him and no hurry either!

I wish deadformat would add in the user updated pressing info. I've added info on several releases and still haven't seen them go up, while a few have and a few pictures have made it, nothing else. Oh well, deadformat is pretty damn legit, will be even better once "the update" goes through, not sure how much better it could be, but eh, whatever he has up his sleeve is fine with me

no big scores really. Just got some records I didn't think I would ever own, but paid dearly for them. Guess I did get a great deal on a falcon LP and traded that for a first press sink or swim, so that's a good score...

I've been really into checkmyvinyl.com which as far as I see it, run by a couple people on this board. I don't use excel or nything, I just add the records and add pictures as well. It's the second link in my sig and I'm really into it and anxious to see where it goes from here. What makes it even easier is you can search for a record, say a NOFX 7", if you find the one you have, you can hit the clone button, edit any info you want and then save and now you have it on your list, which is much easier than trying to remember press info/#'s, label info and everything else. Check it out. I've also used deadformat.net and had one on recordnerd, but the site is never reliable enough for me, so I kind of forgot about it. howsyouredge is alright, but doesn't work on my iPhone, so I don't use that one anymore either.

yeah, I go through all the stuff at my local shop. Never been told anything, but they're starting to put price tags on the flaps of the bags, but I just open them anyways. If I can't see the color, I don't buy them is what I figure, so fuck 'em.

I don't ride "big bikes", but I have been riding BMX for over ten years and do off and on video work for a local mountain bike/bmx company and the guy who I work with has been trying to talk me into picking up a road bike, which I'm open to. I live pretty deep towards the mountains, so would mainly be for some long rides out into the country. I dunno, I love bikes and will always be on one, regardless of size.

I'm surprised some crazy against me collector hasn't tried to buy an entire pressings worth. Now that would be insane.

I'm on dialup and finally got it done today, mind you it wasn't straight for the past few days, just when I was at home. Anyways, I'm digging it a lot more than I was expecting at first. Was slightly disappointed at first to be honest, but it has grown on me so much more. Great Expectations is probably my favorite so far, but into the entire album and I'm sure it will change over time. Who is doing the backup vocals on the patient ferris wheel? Dicky Barrett right?

yeah, lots of hot topic exclusive colors probably because it's a for sure sale of however many colors were pressed, I'm sure they don't all sell quick since I see some records that have been sitting at my local one for well over a year.

Okay, so I see some of you guys have a large amount of test presses or even a few. I'm not really "new" to collecting, but have never been into it enough to warrant tracking one of these down by whichever means. So my question is, are test presses only for the first press, to make sure the mold or whatever is correct or are these done for each and every press? So for an album like reinventing axl rose with 20 presses, have there been tests for each one or what? thanks! dustin
