  1. I've got a Dan Padilla/Madison Bloodbath split 7" white/black marble /2

Off With Their Heads/Dukes of Hillsborough split 7" yellow /6 (IIRC)

And of course, my favorite record... HWM- Fuel for the Hate Game, half black half white first pressing /50. Its a decade old at this point, so I'm sure at least a handful of the originals are lost/trashed/broken.

  2. Also, regarding the Austin Lucas/Chuck split... Chuck said he's been thinking about having Virgil press it or possibly even press it himself to sell to people in North America and leave the import for the Europeans. From what I remember, he has to spend too much to get copies to sell and has to charge a higher rate than he would like for a 7". I'm not sure if thats still in the works, but thats what he told me in May.

So this specific post of mine is really old but I just caught a mistake I made... I said that Chuck was talking to Virgil about pressing this record, but what I meant to say he was talking to Var (from No Idea).

    Sorry...

  3. glad I'm not the only one, didn't laugh as much as I thought I would, maybe too much hype? I don't know, I thought knocked up was funnier.

I also thought Knocked Up was funnier. However, I'm 25. Had I been 18, I probably would think Superbad was, as they say, the bee's knees.

I agree that Knocked Up was funnier, and I'm only 22. I think the reason Superbad is getting all the hype is its a coming of age tale about a bunch of kids trying to get drunk and get laid. The humor isn't any better than Knocked Up, but the 'setting' and everything is a lot better.

    Does that make sense?

  4. well, it certainly can't be blamed solely on americans. music is produced all over the world.

Well, in the case of film photography, it is still the preferred choice in many other countries around the world. So thats why I said "Americans", I'm not sure what the situation is like for music recordings.

  5. my mistake, not ALL manufacturers have ceased production but there's only two small labs that still do:

So typical of our idiotic digital generation. Everyone out there is spoonfed the idea that digital=better, they fail to see all the great things about analog medium. All the dumbfuck Americans out there would rather have the 'simplicity' of digital than anything else.

Its just like photography. One of the greatest films ever produced, Kodachrome, is on the verge of becoming extinct. There is only one known lab in the entire US that can even develop the stuff. No other imaging medium (transparency, digital or otherwise) can reproduce colors and tones the way Kodachrome can. It will be a sad day when it is gone. :'(

  6. And all of Maybe I'll Catch Fire. A girl I was seeing dumped me at the time. That album and Smoking Popes "Destination Failure" helped me through it.

So funny, I was talking about this last night with my friend. Back in 2005 my girlfriend of 3 years dumped me and I pretty much listened to nothing but MICF and Goddammit the entire summer. Now I just feel really lonely when I hear MICF.
