I haven't heard from the seller so I'm gonna call them out here. I know some of you are aware of who she is, so...
The seller is boomboxxxbaby

Good to know. I know of a shop that has one for $14. Its my favorite Rancid album and the only one that I'd actually want on vinyl, so I might pick it up next time I'm there.

Is the Life Won't Wait on orange wax very rare?

this is where the power of feedback comes in
The problem being, the seller always holds the power because he can just leave retalitory feedback.

Well, I won an auction for a record recently and I had three choices for shipping. One was $4.75 for USPS Parcel Post, the second was $7.75 for Priority, and the third was $20 for overnight. The seller was in Florida (and I'm in CA) so I opted for Priority, because I figured it was only a couple bucks difference and I wanted the record quickly. Well, I paid for the record and then waited... and waited... and waited. It finally arrived today, but imagine my annoyance when I realized that the seller decided to ship it via the very S L O W USPS Media Mail (which only cost $2.13).
The difference of $5 isn't that big of a deal, but goddammit when I opt for the faster shipping method because I want it quicker its really annoying to sit around and wait so long only to realize I overpaid for the slowest shipping method possible.

From what I understand, Wollard's stuff isn't acoustic, its got a full band and George plays drums on it.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Some days ago i ordered from Smartpunk the Bear Vs Shark's Terrorhawk vinyl version, they had the normal cover picture on the web site and no mentions about other particulars: anyway i just received the fucking picture disc version and sincerely i'm not a PD fan, i love the normal covers....
Is it too hard for them write near the item that is a fucking picture disc????
Did they send you the first or second pressing of the picture disc?

i know my 7" that came with the LP was a greyish purple swirl and all the ones i've seen were similar so i think there wasn't any variations
Both of mine were the same color, so I'm thinking you're right.

Just put in your highest bid amount and let it be. When you sit and wait for the last few secons you run the risk of getting into a bidding war and paying much more than you told yourself you'd pay. I wound up paying $50 more than I wanted on a HWM record that way.

I prefer Feast or Famine simply because I think all the songs really benefit from the extra instrumentation.

Devil in the Shade: 550 Pale Grey/Tan, 220 Dark Purple, 100 Light Purple, 100 Dark Grey, 70 Blue, 60 Bright Red
All but the Pale Grey and Dark Purple are OOP
Thats the info for the actual retail version, the other dude was asking for the breakdown of the original bonus 7" that was pressed with the LP.

I dig, where'd you snag that?
x2
Need the info!

the only fully-full collection i think i have is the weakerthans...but that's only three lp's...
I don't know if you have it or not, but there is a color pressing of Left and Leaving. It was pressed on burgandy and was limited to 300 IIRC. I'm pretty sure the other two LPs were only pressed on black.

Minolta stopped making cameras, didn't they? Or was it just digital cameras? I use a Minolta and I know it's no longer available.
Minolta was bought off by Sony. They were supposed to keep using Minolta stuff to make new cameras, but I don't know if they have. I don't really follow the new digital camera stuff. I still only shoot film (medium format, to be specific). The cameras I originally mentioned are all older SLR's from the 60's and 70's.

No worries, thanks for helping out regardless.

No Idea just list "525 assorted colors" for that LP
We're talking about the pre-No Idea pressing on Friends and Relatives.
-
Do you have pressing info for how many there were for each color? I have a cloudy/marbled-clear color.

Defiance Ohio - Share What Ya Got LP 1st press (Friends and Relatives) Hand Numbered..
haven't received it yet though!
If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for this? I have a copy too and I'm interested in knowing what the original press goes for now that No Idea repressed it.

Need to know a budget. Also, are you interested in film or digital? What sort of photography are you most interested in pursuing?
My suggestion would be to start out cheap and get a manual focus SLR with a 50mm f/2 lens. There are thousands of them all over the place and they sell for cheap. You might even luck out and find one sitting in your grandparents' attic or something. Canon AE-1, Olympus OM-1, Minolta XG-1, etc. are all good cameras that can all be had for under a hundred bucks with a couple lenses. They have fully manual controls, but also have automated exposure to get you started. This type of camera will get you introduced to photography very cheaply, while at the same time teaching you the very basics of photography, which you will need to know no matter what sort of system you start shooting. If you want to take photography seriously you're going to need to know about f/stops (aperture), shutter speed, film speed (ISO), etc. and these old cameras are great for learning that.
Anyways, if you're not sure what you want to shoot yet, an SLR and a one or two lens setup (I suggest avoiding zooms) should help you figure it out. Once you start seeing your results and finding out what you like and don't like you can figure out what sort of equipment you need to help you move forward. However, PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT! Having the right equipment for specific situations helps, but its not everything. I've seen absolutely gorgeous photos come from crappy cameras and crappy photos come from the most expensive high end cameras around.

I remember when the only way to discover new bands was if a friend told you about it or if you bought a comp. I miss those days.
I'm 22 and I pretty much caught the end of that time period. It was really cool going to record stores and buying comps and discovering new bands. I also used to carefully read the liner notes of bands I liked to see who they thanked and would check them out. Also can't forget reading about all the bands in the distro slip that would come in a bunch of CD's and records back in the day.
Also, whatever happened to the $5 comp? I remember going to record shops and buying 2 or 3 comps at a time because they would only cost $3-5. Now it seems like comps cost what a regular CD costs, which sucks. Or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

So I decided to check out my local Hot Topic today to see if they had a copy. I hadn't been in one in years, it was really weird. Anyways, they had four copies and I wound up not buying any. If anyone really wants one, I can go back and pick it up for you. Its $26.99 + tax + shipping.
This was at the Galleria at Tyler in Riverside, Ca.

ITS ABOUT GODDAMNED TIME!

I'm not sure I get what you're asking, so hopefully this makes sense...
There was one pressing, two colors.
300 pressed on grey
5,000 pressed on black
No represses that I'm aware of.
You got it. The first post said there's more than one color out there, that's all.
Ah, gotcha. I'm looking on the BYO site and see there is an option to add "colored vinyl" to the cart. Has anyone actually ordered this and what color did you get?
The grey sold out a long time ago and sells for upwards of $70 on ebay.
-
Yeah, it does have a bluish/green tinge to it, but its considered grey. From what I understand, it was 300 grey and 5,000 (yes, five thousand) on black. I doubt they've repressed it.
So despite what the original post says, the HWM is pretty much just considered to have one pressing, the gray/blue that everyone has, right?

Thanks for the info, if I don't hear from her I'll definitely take those actions.
