  1. thanks for the info, marc. also, oblivion is coming up later, along with mushuganas, no empathy, snuff, sicko and a few others.
  2. took these a few days ago, probably going to do a few more today. nearing the end, slowly. just dreading laying out all my harmless, mutant pop and snuffy smile stuff. 88 Fingers Louie - 80% complete. Missing a few color variants and a comp or two. Apocalypse Hoboken - 82% complete. Missing an LP, a color variant and two comps. Automatics - 81% complete. Missing a few comps and color/cover variants. Back of Dave and Prozac Memory - Both complete to my knowledge. No members shared, though both were from central-eastern MO. Bollweevils - No more than 80% complete. Missing mostly compilations, and I have no idea how many colors of the 10" split with The Freeze exist (or other Strange releases, for that matter). Cletus - Complete to my knowledge. Connie Dungs - 81% complete. Missing two comps and a few MP variants. Also not including the Turntable 7" on MP which may or may not ever get released. Jon Cougar Concentration Camp - No more than 68% complete. Missing a few MP variants, EPs and LPs. Also looks like I forgot to include the Suburban Voice comp in this pic. Larry Brrrds - 92% complete. Missing their hard to find Eastown 7". Typically, if most of a band's output is via comp I would not include them in here, but all of their comp tracks were exclusives. The Letterbombs - 83% complete, but I'm going to call this one done. Only missing two variant colors of the ASG comp, and their submission is just a Minor Threat cover. To make up for that, I have a digital copy of their unreleased album. Lynyrd's Innards - 78% complete. Missing a few colors, a few comps, and the highly sought after heart-shaped split with Groovie Ghoulies and Slingshot Episode. maybe more coming later today. maybe not.
  3. got the lp for a buck on ebay and the 7"s in a trade with a gentleman from japan. can't see it, but there is a pretty noticeable crease down the middle. poster tube is unharmed, so it definitely happened before ship. probably won't notice it when it's framed, though.
  4. @timpopkid have to admit i've not seen the CC single on black anywhere. but i've been jamming "kings of kirby" lately, so i'll probably seek that one out soon. also, i totally lucked into that mtx split, i think someone just threw it in a lot i purchased on ebay a few years back. @plasma36: that i can think of, just strum & bang, and the gun crazy single. both pop up on ebay pretty frequently, but if your local store has either for cheap let me know. @marc: the dj cover in the squirtgun collection is the test pressing for the harmless recs comp. had no idea the west bay comp was on white, i think i've only ever seen it on black.
  5. the one up there that says 'test press' in big letters is all i have of that 20th anniversary comp, i know there are many variants and i just don't have the will to go through and find everything. i'm sticking with only full lengths in that regard. i sure hope it wasn't a test for the s/t squirtgun album, that one is my fav.
  6. round two. made it through another crate and bin, still a good ways to go. Chopper - 91% complete. Missing the split with Blew. Doc Hopper - 86% complete. Only missing variant colors for the Atomic Action comp, that I'm aware of. Horace Pinker - 95% complete. Only missing a single compilation, not including the new album that is coming out (and crazy expensive to order in the US). Parasites - No more than 60% complete. Haven't really put forth the effort to compile an exact list of everything I'm missing. Porcelain Boys - 80% complete. Really trying to track down the Marble split on purple, also the possibility of an alternate cover for the THD comp. Rhythm Collision - 83% complete. A few splits out there evading me, plus variant colors. Skimmer - No more than 73% complete. Missing a few splits that I know of. Also forgot to include a Speedowax comp in this pic. Squirtgun - ‎82% complete. Missing an LP and a few comps. Tugboat Annie - ‎57% complete. Missing the three splits, two of which are variant colors of what I already have. Venus Beads - ‎67% complete. Missing an EP and an LP. Both fairly hard to track down. Wynona Riders - 91% complete. Only missing the original pressing of the Jolt split, that I'm aware of. AND NOW FOR THE FIRST OF THE LABEL COLLECTIONS... Crackle! Records - 89% complete. Only missing two EPs and two splits. Killer Records - 83% complete, not including releases since the Loblaws split (which I haven't kept up with). PopKid Records - 87% complete. Only missing variant colors of two releases. more to come, but probably not until next week.
  7. do you have a pic of the orange greetings comp? the two i have are similar, but just different enough that i feel justified in hanging on to both.
  8. here is the first round. made it through about a crate of LPs and a bin of 7"s today, but i still have a lot left. 30 Amp Fuse - 72% complete. Missing a single and an 8x7" compilation they took part in, but I'm not worried about the latter. Blount - ‎100% complete to my knowledge. Chemical People - 70% complete. Missing at least five singles and an LP. Corduroy - 100% complete to my knowledge. The Crumbs - No more than 80% complete. Missing three LPs and compilations on various colors. Also forgot to include the We're Addicted to Nyquil! comp LP to the picture. Dimestore Haloes - As low as 60% complete. No real authority on this band's discography, and I think a few of their releases are on multiple colors. Dirt Bike Annie - About 67% complete. Missing alternate colors/covers. Down by Law - About 70% complete. Missing an LP, and a few EPs. Drive - 83% complete. Missing one 12" single. Everready - 95% complete. Missing a MP single on a variant color. The Frantics - 70% complete. Missing an LP and some variant colors/covers. The Gain - ‎70% complete. Missing an LP, two compilations and a variant color. Missing an EP and a cover variant. Ludicrous Lollipops - 100% complete to my knowledge. Mr. T Experience - No more than 73% complete. Missing a few singles, color variants, and compilations. Party of Helicopters - 63% complete. Missing an LP, some color variants and a split. Scared of Chaka - No more than 70% complete. Missing a handful of color and size variants, and a few singles and splits. Probably compilations as well. Screw 32 - 91% not considering a recent repress of one of the singles. Missing the This is Berkeley Not West Bay comp. The Stand GT - A shameful 67% complete. Missing singles, LPs, and compilations. Sweep the Leg Johnny - 91% complete. Only missing a variant color of an LP if you ignore the Post Marked Stamps box set. that's all for tonight!
  9. catherine wheel - balloon 7" smoking popes - need you around 7"
  10. pulled up a few CL apt listings in oakland and it seems much more affordable, but i have no idea about the neighborhoods. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/apa/2569208927.html http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/apa/2577244886.html http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/apa/2567256239.html http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/apa/2569080832.html http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/apa/2578243580.html not expecting anyone to actually pull up those and look at the addresses, but those seem like decent areas..
  11. thanks, guys. i figured the chances of actually finding an affordable place on the peninsula (probably not how it is referred to, but you know what i mean) would be astronomically low. the location at which she would be working is in the financial district of SF, less than a block from BART. we are just kind of trying to feel out options for the hell of it. we also currently live in a large, open floorplan/multi-tiered loft in a historic downtown kcmo building for only $730 a month, so there is an obvious difference in income between the two locations.
  12. looking through my collection, couldn't figure out a reason why i would want to hang on to this record. some of the most sought-after appearances from max colby, portraits of past, cap casualties, crudos, and christie front drive. PM me an offer, US/paypal only. don't ask me how much i want for it, if you know what this is then you know the ballpark value. v/a: Stealing the Pocket 12" - Positively Punk - black (the pist, showcase showdown, fear of reprisal, portraits of past, naked aggression, jim jones party mix, rancid hellspawn, rye coalition, dead silence, death side, capitalist casualties, vanilla, quarreling xenophobic waitresses, devoid of faith, los crudos, potato justice, bound, action patrol, frail, fat day, fyp, coleman, maximillian colby, chickita, stand off, christie front drive, quincy punx, trollin withdrawal) can post a pic at request
  13. so the lady received news that she has the ability to transfer to a position within her company at the SF office. the likeliness of her actually taking it is pretty slim, but we are still curious about what SF has to offer in terms of livability and affordability. i already know it's a pretty expensive place to live, but can some people who live or have lived there list some of the better, more affordable, but not terribly unsafe neighborhoods in the region that would be worth looking into?
  14. correct. the dead girls are from lawrence, ks, and are comprised of 2/3 of ultimate fakebook, who are band buddies with justin and the rest of mcs. the song was recorded over 18 months ago, and they finally decided to use it for something. i have an mp3 of the original recording, it's a pretty catchy song.
