  1. Well, as a die hard Loma Prieta fan I must admitt that this is the easiest Loma's album to listen. Some melodies are bit chessy and I didn't liked it in the beginning. However overall I still dig this album and find it interesting. It has nice chaotic parts, is has traditional Loma's epic ending and blurry production. Not their best work up to day but still good enough. As for the vinyl colors I went for white as best artwork match.

  2. Happy I didn't preorder. This album is not worth the money they ask for it. As much I like "Sunbather" and it's approachability, "New Bermuda" is too much for me. Now it is truly black metal for Pitchfork readers. The vocals taken upfront sound just funny, the guitar is rediculous. Generally the production is too clear and too wide. It fits the softy parts but ruins the fast parts for me. And let's be honest the tracks are not that catchy as those from "Sunbather" which were class of it's own. Now everyone read echos of The Cure, Deftones, MBV. Why? Cause you heard it before.

The bar was set high, very high. This is just average, decent album, 5/10. Not enough to pull the trigger.

  3. Not too much happening in this crown topic so here's my part 3.
