  1. When you try to add it to your cart it says, "We are sorry, an item you requested is not currently available." At least it does for me. Ahh, didn't notice that. I submitted my order on the 22nd, which, based upon this forum, was a day late. I received an order confirmation # but no shipping info yet.
  2. Not sure if I'm missing something, but the 3LP RSD reissue is STILL available on becausesoundmatters.com. Is that possible?
  3. That's because it probably doesn't exist. You'll probably get one of the 2 above in the mail.
  4. I can't see how there's much to bitch about from a record label perspective. The people buying vinyl are at least PAYING for the music, which is more than you can say for the average listener. So being a dick about why people choose to spend money on YOUR bands' records seems idiotic.
  5. I'd be willing to trade Nofx Longest EP on pink and orange.
  6. I recently upgraded from a goldring elektra to the ortofon 2m blue. I'm by no means an expert but I can definitely hear an audible difference. Everything sounds cleaner and more distinct. I would say anything more than the blue and you might be going a little overboard for that particular table and arm. I'd also say that it depends on the rest of your setup. Without a high end system to amplify the signal coming from a high end needle you're never going to hear what you paid for.
  7. At least when it shows up it'll be a SURPRISE!
  8. $25 is just enough to make me second guess buying it. Normally I'd be on that shit like white on rice!
  9. What he said ^^^ The only other Gamits vinyl (besides their new one) is the Come Get Some 7". Not sure how many copies but it's on black vinyl on Drug Store Records. Virgil (Suburban Home) had mentioned possibly pressing Antidote and Small Price to Pay but nothing has happened with that yet.
  10. I plan on attending RSD for the FIRST time this year. Is there any way to figure out which stores will carry certain releases? With the limited quantities some of these release are in, bands/labels obviously can't supply copies to every single store that's participating..
  11. From a collecting standpoint I view cassettes the same way I view collecting variants... wasteful spending. I guess if you have the money to burn, then to each his own. From a audiophile perspective cassettes sound like piss and I wouldn't choose to listen to a cassette when I have CDs and vinyl at my disposal.
  12. The company (Poly-Cut.com) offers custom lathe cut records. However I've had less than a desirable experience with this company and would strongly advise NOT dealing with them. Long version: I placed an order on Nov. 14th with expectation that I would have my order by early Dec. I did receive my order on time, the communications were smooth and he was initially easy to deal with, however, I only received half of the order I paid for (I ordered 4 but only received 2). I figured it was a simple mistake and contacted him to rectify the issue. He apologized for the error and I was told to expect the remainder of my order before the holidays, which never happened. When I contacted him he explained that his poly blank supplier was holding him up and apologized for the delay. That was the end of Dec. So, I gave it 3 more weeks before inquiring again and this time I got no response. 2 more emails over the course of late Jan to early Feb and still no reply. At this point I just wanted my money back. He finally responded on Feb 8th claiming family medical issues. Again, gave him the benefit of the doubt and it's now Feb 24th and I have heard nothing. I sent a request earlier this week requesting a refund.... nothing. Short version: It's getting close to 4 months from when I initially placed the order and he has not sent my completed order or refunded me the balance. While he seems like a decent guy and produces a nice product his business practices are unacceptable. BUYER BEWARE *******UPDATE AS OF 08/11/2011****** As you can see in the posts below Tom from PolyCut found my thread and decided to post a list of excuses as to why he's been screwing people. In his post he makes it seem as if he wants to rectify the wrongs and specifically calls attention to those who have posted to contact him to fix the problems. Well guess what, he's done NOTHING! He acknowledges the fact that he owes me a refund but has done nothing about it. I sent him a Paypal request and a follow up e-mail on Monday and I still have NOTHING! Not even a reply e-mail! He continues to dig himself deeper and make himself look even worse. Hopefully more people post here so that potential customers can be warned of his poor business practices.
  13. Not really vinyl related but I figured someone on here might be able to help. I'm looking for a specific silk screen poster and have no clue where I could find a copy. If I could find the artist I'm sure it would be a good starting point. The artist signature on the print simply reads "CNS". It was for a 2004 show at the TLA in Philadelphia, PA. Any ideas as to who CNS might be?
  14. For a second I actually thought this might be a new Boris The Sprinkler release!
  15. apparently transparent orange is the new solid yellow. Got a "yellow" copy and there's nothing yellow about it. Same with the converge jane doe
  16. Seems obvious to me that if you don't like the way someone does business then don't support them by buying their crap. It does seem like a bit of a douche-bag move on Jack's part. It'd be like Derek Jeter selling his own autographed baseballs on ebay. Being a collector of any sort of memorabilia is usually done out of love and appreciation for another persons craft. For the artist, athlete, or whomever to exploit that appreciation only cheapens their character.
  17. Anyone want to trade for NMB - Icons?
  18. That's a pretty sweet deal, but it's not like you have much of a choice in which 25 you get considering they only released 26 or 27 LPs. They might as well advertise it as "The entire Honest Don's vinyl catalog for only $75"
