  1. Bump for relisted items ending soon... I also put up some new items including The Clash, Bad Religion, Corrosion of Conformity and Ween. They are on the pricey side, don't click the link if you are offended by high auction price listings. http://www.ebay.com/sch/bentclouds/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686
  2. My girlfriend gave me a sealed copy of Modest Mouse's This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About. I opened it and I'm giving it a listen right now. So sexy.
  3. There are differences, sure. However, as someone how collects both, I don't think they are as night and day as you seem to think they are. I admit I am dipping my toe in the pool a bit with my BIN prices but I don't think my auction prices are out of step with recent eBay auctions and not so recent auctions that I've found listed elsewhere. These shirts are very rare and there's not exactly a popsike that keeps track of how much they sell for at auction.
  4. Who is going to pay $100 for an original press LP when you could buy a new, repress version that looks/sounds exactly the same? Oh yeah, almost everyone on this forum.
  5. Hey, I've put up some cool shirts that I've collected over the last few years, some of them might interest a few of the people here. Anyways, have a look... http://www.ebay.com/sch/bentclouds/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686 I have a bunch more I will be posting over the next several weeks.
  6. Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I see also that they have put up two limited colored versions of Dog Poison as well: http://www.castlefacerecords.com/products/thee-oh-sees-dog-poison-version-1 I grabbed those too...Thee Oh Sees completism is an expensive hobby.
  7. Thanks man, that's mine. I love getting albums signed. It gives me an excuse to talk to the band and I'm a shy person who typically wouldn't really want to do that for any other reason. I also think it looks cool on the package in most cases, especially if you have the right color ink in contrast with the album cover. Yesterday I got Cat Power to sign her new Sun deluxe LP and she pulled out the gold 7" and sketched a quick self portrait on the reflective surface. As to the value, I don't think it really changes the value much but I sometimes get offers on signed records in my collection and I'm willing to let them go if the offer is more than my sentimental attachment to the memory or my love of the record. I wouldn't pay more for a signature personally.
  8. Clear vinyl + 7" are available here: http://www.goner-records.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=9563 Keep refreshing
  9. That sounds pretty cool to me, but then I really dig having signed albums, even if I didn't get the signatures myself.
  10. I had a good day of vinyl buying yesterday, I found used: Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (OG with 7") $25 Pixies - Bossanova (US OG) $15 Le Volume Courbe - I Killed My Best Friend $20 as well as new: The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin (2012 reissue) NO - Don't Worry, You'll Be Here Forever and I got in the mail: Thee Oh Sees - Help (Pink vinyl) Thee Oh Sees / Paul Cary - Split (Black/Grey Marbled Vinyl) I am now two 7"s away from a complete Thee Oh Sees collection.
  11. Got my Thee Oh Sees stuff yesterday. It was packed very well. Thanks a lot. +1
  12. I decided to post my top 13 since they are all over 1000 scrobbles. 1 The Fiery Furnaces 1,922 2 Joanna Newsom 1,742 3 Radiohead 1,695 4 Why? 1,631 5 Bob Dylan 1,512 6 Animal Collective 1,412 6 Marissa Nadler 1,412 8 Pavement 1,382 9 Brian Eno 1,328 10 Beach House 1,240 11 Thee Oh Sees 1,222 12 Neko Case 1,160 13 Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 1,081 http://www.last.fm/user/bentclouds
  13. I picked up the Thee Oh Sees/Quintron & Miss Pussycat split and the Mikal Cronin/King Khan split, both are pretty good (my favorite was the Cronin track). I'll probably pick up the Fucked Up/The Dirtbombs one eventually.
  14. Well, the one from the 90s has a totally different track order meant to redesign the album to the original intentions but I much prefer the original PVC order which peaks both sides with a warm track that gives the sequencing a more natural progression of tone. I will probably pick this up at some point, but I'd much rather have the original PVC LP from 78.
  15. Thee Oh Sees 2005-2006 2007-2008 2009 2010 2011 I'm still missing a few things ...
  16. It gives you the average price of whats currently on sale, not from what has sold in the past. It'd be cool if it gave you the average price of how much stuff has been selling too. With ended eBay auctions, Popsike, and collectorfrenzy, etc... I dropped an email into the suggestion box on the app, it is definitely something that could be improved to be even more useful and will maybe eventually consolidate some of my shopping research steps for me. Cool app though; worth the $2.99.
  17. This is pretty cool. I just wish it would take popsike into account when figuring out avg price.
  18. A belated birthday gift from a friend, I'm closing in on a complete Thee Oh Sees collection:
  19. I grabbed the recent Zola Jesus record. They also have the Eleanor Friedberger which is pretty great.
  20. Found some jazz at a local thrift store yesterday for $1 a pop.
  21. Right after walking into a record store I overheard the owner complaining that he had two boxes of 80s & 90s 45s in his car that he just bought but "No one buys that shit anymore." I got to look through them and pulled these gems, $5 each:
  22. A small collection of one of my favorite new bands, nearly complete: Have: The Babies - S/T Tour Tape #2 All Things Come to Pass Meet Me in the City Here Comes Trouble X2 (Edition of 300) The Wilds (Portugal; Numbered Edition of 500) Missing: Tour Tape #1
