Minutemen are awesome. Once it finally "clicks" you'll be happy it did. agreed. it took a while for me but now I really dig them. I think the song that finally made it all click was History Lesson - Part II.

haha. I remember seeing this band a few times back in the day and hanging out drinking at a dudes house after the show and they sat around and watched porn. Tom from Bigwig ran G.F.Y. He put out some descent records for a short time. The Douglas "Persona" album is still one of my favorite albums from the late 90's. Awesome U.K. band.

great album! they pop up on ebay from time to time and usually go for anywhere between 15-20 dollars. I've been trying to find the 7 inch for a while. Check out the Beat Buttons or Argentina if you like anklebiter. Same singer/songwriter. Beat Buttons are one of the beat gainesville bands around right now. they have a record out on bakery outlet. good stuff.

I was thinking the Gamits as well. I don't necessarily think they are the greatest punk rock band but they were definitely one of the better pop-punk bands around for a while. And the history with the label is there too.

I ordered a bunch of the older Dr. Strange releases about a year or so ago and received everything I ordered but recently placed an order and stuff was left out and I was sent records I didn't ask for in place of stuff they didn't have in stock. Kinda lame but whatever... at least it wasn't that much money.

I ordered some records from them within the last 6 months including knapsack "silver sweepstakes". I know the other two knapsack albums and archers "vee vee' and "icky mettle" are no longer available. Anyways, it is a good record regardless.
