As of about a month ago we launched this feature. Would have loved to do it years ago but the tech was no there.

I just wanted to bring to everyone's attention a cool new feature within your user profile page just launched by the VC coding team. You can now add all your vinyl gear ( to our user profile. I setup mine to show you an example. When you click my profile on the left hand side under my "About" section we added another section titled "Your Gear Setup". Now you can share your turntable setup in all it's glory!

To add your gear just go to your profile page (click your profile name in the black menu bar top right). Click edit "Edit Profile" near the top of the page. A pop up window will appear and under your "Basic Info" you will be able to fill in all your gear!

Any issues doing so please @ me or pm me! Thanks to @vinyl addict for the feature request!

I just was about to post that i solved this... for the last time =) Sorry again for the inconvenience! Search should also be back to normal or hopefully better than normal! 

I am reindexing the search right now as that too could cause this. Keep in mind that may take a few hours as we have a LOT of content. I will keep you posted.

There is a “time period” filter for the stream. Make sure it is set correctly. And your users might have their own streams where they set that in a way it cuts off content.

We have finished doing a huge server upgrade so the last month never happens again! We now are using the cloud + an insane server setup to handle all the traffic and growing VC is seeing lately. Thanks to everyone who stuck by while we solved these slowness issues. VC is a large community so its not easy and quick to fix large issues. Good news is its done and won't happen again!

JUST spoke to our new server admin and he said its a caching issue which will resolve within the next 24 hours. Sorry =/ Let me know if it does not resolve by tomorrow.

Can you please clear you cache? You might be seeing our old server.

Sometimes it could be reindexing which I think it does often because of the massive amount of content added daily. I know it won't "work" properly while it's running the reindex!

Worked all day on this but i LOVE your idea!!

Now when you edit your profile you can add/edit all of your audio gear! Man this looks good on the profile page now. Checkout mine! Then go get the other 26k VC peeps to update their profile =)

Has it started working better by chance?

Did some digging and the issue is google ads needing flash installed (which android no longer is supporting) and thats what the deal is. Its a crappy google ad which google is not supposed to allow. I submitted a request to stop them. We will see what happens. I was told there is a way to not prompt that in your browser preferences. Maybe check into that so it won't ask you to install flash. 

I was also told is we had spyware, malware etc it would happen on all mobile phones not just android. So the more i look into this is google ads being stupid.

I will keep you posted but look into the browser preferences.

we have had a steady increase of traffic over the last 2 months and will be upgrade servers again in the next week or so. I apologize for the slowness. We have been doing all we can with our current set up. Sorry again!! Its very difficult trying to fix issues on the live site so we have to be careful when making any changes and then watching the effects. Fun times!

I am told it will solve a decent amount of bugs. I will check into the search engine. Do you have any more details? It could be because we have had server issues for the last few weeks. Traffic is growing quite quickly. I know that might time out the search results?

I actually think i can pull this off. What did you have in mind? Just one input box or separate ones for Turntable, Speakers, Amp? Want to be my beta tester?
