The World Is A Beautiful Place... Debut LP
Rip replied to michaelmanfredi's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
The tour press didn't have an actual jacket. Just a single "fold over" sheet if that makes sense. I'm sure there's an actual word for what it is, but I can't think of it right now. -
The girlfriend and I watched 3 amazing films tonight: American Mary Stoker The Imposter Check out American Mary if you're into a movie with some good gore and the theme of surgery/body modification. One of the best I've seen in that aspect. Stoker was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best films I've seen in a long time, possibly ever. The visuals were incredible and everyone played their parts sooo well. I still can't stop thinking about it and it's been hours since it's ended. The Imposter is a really good documentary about a boy that goes missing and he is randomly found 3 years later in Spain. I won't say much else about it though because I feel the less you know going into it, the better. It's on Netflix Instant right now so you have no excuse not to check it out!

Can you just learn to ignore people and not let the littlest things get to you? -
Well now you've got me interested! I'll have to check it out somehow, haha.
-
No sir, I have not. Worth checking out?

This Is The End. I loved it so much. One of, if not the best movies of this year so far.
-
Oh yeah! Forgot he's in it too!

I forget the "twist" exactly, or whatever you wanna call it, but it has something to do with one of the women who live in the house actually being specially trained in combat or something, so things actually get turned around on the intruders. Don't worry. That wasn't a spoiler or anything, it's been common knowledge about it for quite a while. Plus the director directed segments from V/H/S, V/H/S-2, and he directed the letter Q segment from The ABC's Of Death. He was ALSO the main guy in the first segment of V/H/S-2.

It's definitely fucked up. But I felt as if people overhyped the "fucked-upness," if that makes sense. Then again, maybe I'm the one that's fucked up for thinking that? I don't know.

I enjoyed Mama up until close to the end. I found a lot of the film creepy but then they started showing her too much, and I could really tell she was CGI. She may not be ALL the time, but she definitely is quite a bit towards the end. I remember thinking The Woman In Black was somewhat meh. The idea was pretty cool, but there wasn't much more too it besides a few jump scares. The Innkeepers is one of my favorite horror films. Such a creepy and atmospheric film. Plus I love me some Ti West. I thought The Collection was a pretty enjoyable watch. It was a lot cheesier than the first. Actually... I don't remember The Collector being cheesy at all. It was actually pretty scary. So I do kind of wish they went that way with The Collection. I can't wait to see how it all ends with the third one though. Midnight Meat Train has always been a favorite of mine. Always glad to see another fan! Aww man! I just watched it the other night and I actually really liked it! I was a big fan of the original and I thought they did a great job with the remake. It was also really cool to see Elijah Wood play such a creepy guy after only getting a taste of his creepy side in Sin City. The gore and everything was great as well, so that's always a plus!

I saw it! Had a watching party with my girlfriend, cousin, and my cousins fiancé the day after it came out On Demand. I really enjoyed it. But do I think it was better than the first one like everyone else does? Most definitely not. The first one was so much creepier and scarier than the second one. Don't get me wrong, the second one was a really fun watch, but I was barely actually freaked out like I was almost nonstop during the first.

Hahaha, a Sergeant Hatred one would be amazing. I'm really hoping for a Henry Killinger one though.
