  1. Yes, it's through USPS. Filling out customs forms and registration forms is definitely a pain in the rear. I hate doing it.
  2. It's an extra charge and shipping option. The package goes under lock and key through every point of it's journey and is a secure form of shipping. Generally speaking it's roughly an extra $13-$14 on top of the already existing shipping method you choose. It is the least amount of risk for you the seller.
  3. I sell on discogs. Anything outside of the US/Canada I require regestired shipping. That usually deters any sales outside of N. America. Just put that in your seller's terms and you should be fine from this point forward.
  4. Really hoping I can snag a copy from Windhand, didn't get one from Riding Easy.
  5. I did preorder that Sleep Vol 1. $16, can't beat the price.
  6. I liked Green & Yellow, but I think they could have cut the length into 1 LP and eliminate some of the filler. I remember reading that Baizley said he needed to change the vocal delivery on G/Y because his voice couldn't handle all of the yelling while touring. The songs on G/Y sound far better live IMO
  7. Saw Baroness open for Mastodon as well a few years back (maybe longer?) in Omaha. They completely blew Mastodon out of the water. Two days later Baroness played a headlining show here in Des Moines at a really small venue with only one opener. Probably one of the top 5 gigs I've ever been to. When the wife and I got married we used the Ogeechee Hymnal as the song we exited the wedding to. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of their material. Im partial to Red or Blue myself.
  8. I have Discogs (QUA1L), but I only have a fraction of my collection listed. I started an Excel for my entire colleciton, but I haven't touched it since last spring. Im terrible about that stuff.
  9. I hear you dude. For the longest time we had no desire to EVER have kids. Especially when my buddy would bring over his horrid 3 year old. She was a tyrant. She'd leave and we'd be like "We will NEVER have kids". Obviously that changed, sometime after we were married and bought a house I suppose. I can say this though, for all of the bad stuff, the good stuff makes up for tenfold. Granted, I can't blow $350+/month on records like I used to, but it's worth it. Now if only there was a way to ensure she didn't listen to radio pop music I'd be happy.... There are always 100 things on my "need to buy" list. I have a hard time deciding what comes next.
  10. Thanks dude. Before having a kid it was a lot easier to travel and see shows. The Sleep sphinx poster was from 2011, we saw them on our honeymoon in L.A. Harvey Milk and Premonition 13 opened which was killer. This year will be my 3rd year in a row attending Desertfest London. Stoked that I will be seeing Sleep again. Dopethrone are another band Im super amped to see while there. However, this is the first year I'll have to make a real conscious effort to try and save from my record buying slush fund to attend. I know, poor me, right? haha. If Im being honest, I really don't care for Jimi Hendrix a whole lot (please don't kill me), but I do like nearly every band on the comp, so I figured I'd support the project. If I really don't like anything on it, I figured I could always trade it later.
  11. ....the Mastodon ones are the only ones in cheap Hobby Lobby frames though, and the big one is signed, so that makes it ok, right? haha. They were gifts from a friend and I thought it'd be rude to not hang them up. Truth be told, if I ever run out of room, the small one will be taken down as it's not signed.
  12. Thanks man. The doom is strong in this thread. I kicked in an extra $15 so I could get the Best Of LP. Also waiting on a couple of mail pieces, trying to save for Desertfest London, so buying is at a low right now; Bongripper - Live at Roadburn 2012 test press Weedeater - Hot Doughnuts Now 7" Slow Season - Mountains
  13. Kicked in for the $25 level. Only have a few hours to change my mind for something better... decisions decisions.
  14. Ended up snagging the Green and Clear on the last run. I am collector scum when it comes to Sleep. *sigh* Tried to take a fun photo... failed miserably
  15. I've posted my storage room before, but we had some storm damage this spring, so I've spent the better part of the summer and fall remodeling our basement and have since moved my records to a different room. I've left some open spaces on the walls for stuff I still need to get framed. Every poster except the Mastodon and Metallica from 1986 are from shows I've been to. Marantz 2245 Technics SL-1950 w/ Grado Red Paradigm 5SE-MKII
  16. I pre-ordered all three Deluxe Versions back in early May. Still no shipping on any of them.
  17. It's irritating to the say the least. It's a waste of everbody's time. It's the one reason I wish eBay still allowed negative feedback to be left from sellers to the buyers.
  18. That's the show where I purchased it as well. I snagged the setlist after the show and that's what's under the print in the little black frame.
  19. Discogs is terrible for that. I especially love, "sealed copy, can not confirm color" but they list it under the rarest version and ask double the going rate
  20. Thanks! The one on the left is a 2245. It's what's currently being used in conjunction with the TT and Paradigms. On the right is a little 1515 that is not being used any more. I have plans for it though. Going to buy a cheap tube "preamp" kit and use it strictly for headphone listening with my CD's. Im not sure how it will sound, but for no more than the receiver and kit cost Im not going to worry too much if it sounds like straight dook.
  21. As of today; Receiver - Marantz 2245 TT - Technics SL-1950 w/ Grado Red stylus. Speakers - Paradigm 5SE Mk2
  22. I only need Electric Wizard's Dopethrone on white wax to complete my Electric Wizard first pressings. It's not impossible to find, just hard to find for the right price. Im cheap and I've gotten everything else by being patient so I shall continue to wait on that one. Im definitely not going to shell out $150+ for it though. Some people on discogs must be high. I've given up on trying to find the Earache test press to Sleep's Holy Mountain. I'll have to be satisfied (not so much) with the not so limited Kreation Records test pressing that I have.
  23. Reorganized a bit. I have some signed gig flyers and art prints I need to put up still so it doesn't look like I only go and see Sleep The flyers you can't really see in the third pic.... All of my CD's are hidden in the closet.
