yeah, it would be one thing if they ended up being a different purple, but purple to red and purple to orange is kinda lame on their part.

"Colors may vary" means that well.. the colors may vary... When you buy into it, the colors might vary, ya know?
To be even more specific, the descriptions of the variants do not even speak of what color you'll be getting.. They just talk about what kind of variant, eg. 'Splatter'.

I don't know the speakers, but for $150, you can get a Schiit Magni 2 Uber, which is a great headphone amp, and allows you to bypass it to go to speakers as necessary (it would be plugged in direct from the source, and then bypassed to go to speakers, or just used as headphone amp). Even if the A5s have a headphone amp, I'm guessing its quality won't be exceptionally high.
Thank you. My original plan was to at least go with Schiit as I've read nothing but rave reviews. Now to bring myself to spend some more...

So, I've been on the fence for a while as to whether to get a headphone amp or new speakers. I came to the conclusion that it was time for new speakers. After I purchased these, I was doing some reading and became under the impression that these would double as a headphone amp. Today I realized that I cannot seem to (or, at least, do not know how to) listen through the headphones without the output coming through the speakers as well. Everything is connected through analog. Is there a way to shut off the speaker output without shutting off the headphone output? Or, do I need to buy a headphone amp?

anybody else make it out to the 5 year anniversary show for this album the other day? was a hell of a time. they had a /50 splatter variant of the album for sale, was happy to leave with one of those.
What a great show and incredible turnout. There seemed to be more people than their show with Braid.
Picked up the /50.
I wasn't crazy for the new guitarist. All the leads that should've sounded very ambient and smooth sounded overdriven and without flow-y-ness; for example, during race car driving.
Prawn was killer.

KEY WORDS GUYS: "EQUAL TRADE". For example, if you paid $40 for Deja, you should be looking to trade for something that you can either a- go on hastings and grab it for $40 or b - go on ebay and grab it for $40. I'd imagine Dave would not agree with exploitation
