  1. Being old (and having all the originals bought for dirt cheap) finally feels good. 10" is the best format in the history of best formats for hardcore/punk/metal. Not too big, not too small, perfect lenght.
  2. what is that, about 2000 LPs? Did a rough count on mine not too long ago. I think it's about 1500/1800 pieces.
  3. Wow, nice store indeed! Just dropped an order for Electric Wizard S/T and the Pentagram collection.
  4. What? 2M Blue is $199, the Shure cart is $55 from Amazon. The Shure cart is the best cart under $100. Well, when I bought my Shure it was about 100 euro (=US$ 135) and the 2M Blue is about 140/150 euro over here. Maybe it's because Ortofon are made in the EU and Shure in the US (I'm located in Italy)?
  5. Does not get released until February over here. The international movie star system wants to ruin my Christmas
  6. I've had a Shure m97xE for a couple of years now and it's not bad but just a little weak, not punchy. I've been much better off with a Ortofon 2M Blue which should be in the same price range.
  7. Vaguely remember it might be a still from the movie Heat.
  8. Acquire everything pre-Pink, Pink included.
  9. Saw this one by Carhartt x Vestax in person while I was in Frankfurt last summer. Looks kinda good for what it is. USB too! Don't really know where you could buy one though.
  10. I recently started selling on Discogs and yes, it is great! Much faster than having to deal with all the eBay bullshit. Had a couple of deadbeats so far but nothing too annoying.
  11. Listen to them before you buy anything. Have them play some cd of your choice and if possible try it with the same components you have at home or at least something similar. I changed my cheap speaker set 2 years ago. I visited the local hifi store and told them my budget (around 400 euro). I think I tried about 5 or 6 sets of speakers before I found what suited my tastes. They had Bose (way better than expected or maybe I just have shitty ears), Canton, Chario, Jbl. I ended up getting a good deal on the Chario Silhouette and I'm so happy with them.
  12. Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?seller=JRyall http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?seller=JRyall http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?seller=JRyall eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/guraindo-coa/m.html http://www.ebay.com/sch/guraindo-coa/m.html http://www.ebay.com/sch/guraindo-coa/m.html Fund my London trip to see Cathedral's last show!
  13. Will order ASAP. 'Shake' is good and everything but the S/T on Wreckage is the fucking bomb. It really needs a proper wax release.
  14. I was just playing this record last night and yes, I noticed sound quality getting kinda shitty when the needle was approaching the last tracks on both sides. Another case of too much music crammed into one single LP.
  15. If you're not interested in insane top speeds look into your chances of getting a used Honda Ruckus. I own the EU version of it (Zoomer) and it's the best thing that has happened to me in a long while. Absolutely fun and easy to ride everywhere, there's a crazy amount of customizations you can have fun with. But yes, the stock one is slow but you'll forget about gas.
  16. Heard some talk about this board @ deadformat.net
  17. I still have one at home but upgraded to an Ortofon 2M Blue. Shure 97 was not bad but just a little weak. Definitely a lot less 'punchy' than Ortofons or Grados. Maybe it was just my set up. Hey everybody...I'm new!
