  1. It's probably just the lighting in the photo, but that doesn't look like a porter.

I wasn't drinking the Porter. Just picked up a sixpack to go. I believe that beer was a bench(pale) ale which was a combination brew of several local breweries. The puppy breath is supposed to have coffee and chocolaty flavor.

  2. last couple weeks were packed with shows...

2/28 - off with their heads / slow death / Wolf face

3/1 - Drag the river / Chris wollard & the ship theives

    3/3 - Iron Chic

    3/5 - Comeback Kid

3/6 - Lightning Hockey Game  <-- i had tickets to the private Paramore show but gave them up for club seats at the hockey game.

that was a ton of back to back shows... Im getting too old for that much action in a short amount of time.

    then upcoming i have:

    3/12 - agent orange

3/20 - Between the buried in me / deafheaven (only going if i can weasel free tickets)

    3/22 - Dave hause

3/27 - Lightning Hockey Game (club seats with as much free food and booze as you can handle)

4/4 - Mobb Deep (only going if i can weasel free tickets)

4/11 - Jim Norton (stand up comedian)

    4/12 - Dead Milkmen

    4/30 - Chuck Ragan

    7/2 - Menzingers

  3. I love my CX bike.  I was a little nervous from going from a commuter bike (my first real bike as an adult) to a road bike because my town has a ton of construction, old brick roads, dirt covered sidewalks...  But getting the trek crossrip elite was a perfect choice and i am very pleased with my decision.

  4. where do u live? here its ridable but still i wouldn't get my bike out in all the sloch and sodium that's in the streets..

i cant stand taking public transportation

Haha, im in florida where it is technically ride-abale all year round but once the time changes and its dark at 530 and slightly chilly i get lazy and go into hibernation mode. Plus I had a couple of close calls with cars blowing through stop signs and shit, so for my safety i dont like riding around here in the dark dispute having several lights on my bike.

I have friends in Minnesota who call me a pussy since they ride in freezing temps all the time.

  5. I'll bump this old thread.

So happy it's biking season again,  Its been mid 60s & crystal clear the last few days and have finally gotten some riding in.  I signed up for a 35 mile ride this weekend just to push me to get riding again (i think i have gone on just a handful of rides since November).  I'm super out of shape now but the ride is a fundraisers for puppies, and there is no better cause than puppies.

  6. Damn, didn't realize i have been here so long:  Member Since 22 Jun 2007

I have become a lurker at best over the last several years as i have no input on 90% of the bands that are loved around here today.

What i miss most, is being able to find good/cheap/used 90s punk rock records in the for sale forum. I hardly look anymore because everyone is trying to sell the same shit that all came out within the last 6-12 months.

  7. YES go to Freemont!  Also, literally right across the street is a really cool bar called The Griffin (511 Fremont Street).  A lot of locals chill there and it is seriously the coolest atmosphere ever.  The interior of the place is REALLY cool, too.

I got married in vegas in November. I had about 16 friends fly out there with me and we did old vegas one night, and that bar was rad.  The bar next door was fun too (the Beauty bar).

we gambled, drank a ton, ate some awesome food... what you would expect.

If you have a car/ride there is zip lining in the mountains around boulder city which was so much fun.  its about a 20 min drive outside the strip. think it was called flightlinez or something like that.

Hash a go go's was a fun place for breakfast. crazy portions, but all really good + great drinks.

  8. My wife cooked up some meat free/gluten free dinner, made fancy cocktails and we watched horror movies on the couch.

We don't do romantic gifts or anything, so i got her a bunch of locally made chocolates and an appointment to get her car windows tinted. She got me a jawbone up24.

  9. Went down to my local bar to get some dinner with my folks tonight and they had Hala Kahiki Pineapple Beer on tap.

Never seen such a thing, so had to try it.  Overall it was not bad for a fruit flavored beer, but not something i could drink more than one of.

looked like a cloudy lager and had a nice pineapple aroma, and was not overly sweet. I would give it a 3.5 / 5.0

  10. Hi Rich,

Any skatepunk stuff in the works? Really loved the Truro 7" from the other year.

Hey Marc, if you order anything let me know. i would be down for one of those Growing Pains LPs so maybe we can combine shipping and save some bucks.

Also you get the adhesive LP yet? i got my last night. looks great, but havent gotten to listen to it yet.
