  1. American Steel was fucking amazing last night, you're out of your mind, just sayin... Sundowner is good, but you have to go see Sundowner NOT with rock bands...they're a whole other monster...I got there late due to traffic and missed them. i'm all about diversity at shows, but they're a chill band and it just doesn't work playing with loud bands on the same bill. Falcon played ok...no Danny which was weird, Eli from Smoking popes on second guitar, Chris on Bass. Brendan looked awkward playing guitar. I wasn't super into it. loved the anti-lawrence arms shirts though... Lawrence Arms were good, but I always forget how much I hate their fan-base at shows. Broadways covers were awesome...weird hearing those songs live again, let alone Brendan singing a Dan song(who does sound like a sleepy robot, best description ever.) Slapstick cover was awesome too. Just reminded me how much I miss going to see the Broadways.
  2. you gotta let the vinyl breathe, dude. fuck collectability and "value".
  3. i will now only reply in 7 seconds derived quotes....
  4. we're gonna fight wha-ooooooa-oooooh! go listen to 7 Seconds.
  5. fuck these dudes.... sorry guys...can't let the fame go to your heads. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
  6. There is maybe one song on that record that is unique to that ep, I was ripping all my f2f vinyl a few years back and realized in the middle of doing so that they were identical to versions on 7"'s. Maybe the mixes are different, but I'm pretty sure they're not unique to that release.
  7. It would be cool to have the over it ep on vinyl, I have that on cd...but all those songs from that are just versions from 7"s I already have...not worth $50!!
  8. Is that the one from Japan you were apprehensive about buying? Glad it worked... yes, consider my opinion reversed!!
  9. i saw them play with gameface at a skate demo for free over ten years ago. wow i feel old they were the first punk rock band i ever got into and i first saw them play at the 1996 Warped Tour, September-ish in Chicago, my first ever punk rock show...or whatever. WT was different back then. They were pissed at the venue for charging too much to sell merch, so while they played their roadies came on stage with like 5 or 6 cases of shirts and threw them one by one into the audience while they played because they said they'd lose less money giving them away than it would to not have to sell them for $25. It was pretty fucking rad. Then a month and a half later i saw them on October 17th and they played the Metro with the Bouncing Souls and Automatic 7 opening and after that it was all over...
  10. fuckin a My Face to Face "Econolive" 10" arrived today...the record that has eluded me for about 9 1/2 years. I'm in awe of it spinning next to me. wow. this is unbelievable. So many awesome memories attached to this band. this is so awesome. this is so awesome. this is so awesome. this is so awesome. this is so awesome. this is so awesome.
  11. Evan is in Young Widows (& Black Cross) Ryan is in Coliseum (& Black Cross) as far as i know Evan does help with Auxiliary, but Ryan is the main dude.
  12. seriously the more i watch this dvd, the more "i get i" and respect this band. So amazing. did you know they turned down touring with ministry! i'm sure you heard a waaaay more first hand story than i did!
  13. Even better. Keep in mind of Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc, and Owls too (anything that I don't have in my collection already which you can see in my sig)! Thanks! cap'n'jazz i can kinda understand, but i think the world needs less kinsella records especially ones from the owls...joan of arc is pretty awful too, but nott nearly as terrible as that Owls band...i had to sit through one their sets while out with this girl i liked. painful, i think i blew things with that girl cause i was laughing so hard...
  14. i'm planning to go to downtown chicago in a few weeks to hit up some stores, i'll definitely keep an eye out for you pm me or email me i work downtown i'll go with...
  15. nope...i'm going to try to do it next year sometime, i think they're recording another record, so i wanna see if they re-record any of the songs first, i haven't talked with j. in like 6 months and Vic in proabbaly 10...busy guys with jobs and families, so...we'll see i'd would love to do the RSA for the cover art alone...maybe just to do it to ring in the end of the second Bush reich.
  16. I've seen a lot of people with a copy, but no one is willing to give up their copy :'( i never check to see if they're on color, but i see used American Football records in chicago a couple times a year...weird.
  17. thats what i'll prob do. where those two ever released on vinyl? i just was introduced to them and way into the 20min long songs. not yet...the big problem is that they will never be able to tour, the drummer has a kid, one guitar player is a teacher and is married too...the full length would be doable on a 3 sided 2xLP and the new one would work as a single LP...but the expenses of doing it is gonna be rough...i definitely want to do it anyway and jut screenprint covers myself...we'll see!!
  18. honestly i love Snuff, but that band was fucking boring live. any band where the drummer sings runs this risk...sometimes the rest of the band will take up the slack from the lack of a frontman...but the time i saw them play the guitar/bass players just stood there, the trombone player moved around when he'd come on stage and play for the random song, but the keyboardist would just stand on the side and smoke and very unexcitedly join in when he needed to. kind of a bummer. I'll let you know if Raygun's going to play the northeast...they probably will...that's all iI'm gonna say.
