  1. i'll ask the guys and see if there's a video...i actually wasn't there. ...and if i can possibly do this without it sounding like a commercial...trust me i'd say this even if i didn't put their records out...but...are you familiar with Mexican Cheerleader? This band is Pete from Oblivion, Scott and Andy from Hoboken and Karl from Lynyrd's Innards. they only have one anything on vinyl, a split 7" with a band called Shattered Angel. ...but their CDs are available at undercomm.org, noidea, interpunk, on itunes too. 1 four song demo cdr, 2 full length CDs, one split 7" & 1 CDEP. PM me if you want any more info.
  2. i can't believe the dumb town next to me got across the universe and most of you haven't. it's very shocking edit: even if you guys haven't seen the movie yet, the soundtrack is really good, IMO. bono + the secret machines do a pretty cool cover of "i am the walrus" that movie is great, the covers are almost completely amazing. Joe Cocker doing come together is superb.
  3. in on the kill taker, repeater or 13 songs are the pinnacle. end hits and the argument are fantastic as well...but i'd get into the classics first. edit: go and buy the Instrument DVD too...lots of awesome insight into the band.
  4. ...if you're interested, these are all available from No Idea Records Distro as well as from me which is probably the cheapest way for people in the US...obviously if you were going to order only vinyl, please do that through Virgil. PM me with orders all prices are postage paid, if you want to paypal me, add $0.25 per item. full lengths are $10 CD EPs / Comps are $6 UCR026 - Shot Baker "Time to Panic" CDEP the bands demo, reissued. Eventually this will get released on vinyl. All songs are still played today and none have been rerecorded elsewhere. 5 songs. UCR024 - Angel Eyes "...and for a roof a sky full of stars" CDEP 2 song / 27 minute epic stoner rock/screamy hardcore ala Godspeed YBE, Neurosis, Pelican, Pg.99. UCR020 - Shot Baker "Awake" CD & LP Debut full length, for fans of Pegboy, Naked Raygun, Screeching Weasel, the Bouncing Souls. 11 songs. UCR017 - Report Suspicious Activity "Dreamland" CDEP Ultra political east coat super group feat. Vic Bondi from Articles of Faith, J Robbins from Channels, Jawbox, Burning Airlines, Gov't Issue, Darren Zentek from Channels and Kerosene 454 and Erik Denno from Kerosene 454 too. Kind of a solid amalgamation of all their bands, sometimes more indie rock than punk, sometimes more hardcore than indie rock. 4 amazing songs plus a hidden track demo. UCR016 - My Big Beautiful "The Way Things Are..." CD ex the Bomb. Super poppy indie-punk rock. Really smart lyrics, really catchy songs. 10 songs. Second album, 10 years after the first one. UCR011 – Mexican Cheerleader "Mexican Mystery Tour" CDEP 8 song rock n roll blast. Think T Rex, Kiss, the Kinks but if they were a bunch of older punk rock guys. ex Oblivion & Apocalypse Hoboken and 1 guy from Lynyrd's Innards. This is them at their most ROCK. UCR008 – Fourth Rotor "Plain" CDEP 9 song full length...but is only 14 minutes...and they broke up...so EP priced. Jacob from Ambition Mission plays bass, Douglas Ward from 8 Bark & V.Reverse plays guitar and Kammy from Spaced Invaders on drums...i have always had a hard time describing this band, but i'd have to say if you think of a combination of the Minutemen, Nomeansno, the Dicks and they don't sound like them, but Primus. Very bass driven bluesy punk rock. UCR007 – Rollo Tomasi "Work Slow Crush Foes" CD Been Let down by the last couple Helmet records? This one will not. period. This sounds like Fugazi covering Helmet. no joke. ex Gauge, the Sky Corvair & Hanalei. UCR006 – Angel Eyes "Something to do with death." CD 3 songs, 4 tracks over 49 1/2 minutes. Comparable to other EPIC bands like Godspeed You Black Emperor, Neurosis and Isis(to name a few). UCR005 – the World I Know: Pegboy Tribute Compilation CD with: Vic Bondi(of Articles of Faith & Report Suspicious Activity), Haymarket Riot, Rollo Tomasi, Full, My Big Beautiful, Dead Town Revival, The Dutchmen, Phenoms, The Matics, Shot Baker, Blonde Alibi, Matt Skiba(of Alkaline Trio) and lots more. 24 songs total. All songs are exclusive. UCR002 – Haunted Life "the Dust Has Settled" CDEP This EP is essentially their second demo and contains two hidden tracks that were on their first demo. ex Expired Youth. Comparable to Verbal Assault, Bane or Ignite. UCR001 – Mexican Cheerleader "Kings & Kings' Hoots" CD second album, my personal favorite. Simply: 12 songs of blissful rock and roll with just enough of a punk rock feel that you know this isn't a record you stole from your parents collection. anyways...let me know if you're interested in anything, feel free to pm me with any questions. ---------------------------------------- Underground Communiqué Records / UnderComm.org 1220 West Hood Avenue Chicago, Illinois 60660 paypal: [email protected]
  5. Couldn't agree more...now let everyone else scream "BLASPHEMY!!!" yeah...i've gotten into several quite heated discussions arguing this point. The one with the yellow cover? If so, I still see that one all the time, shouldn't be hard to track down i've never seen that...hmm...ok cool. I'm sure it's easy to find as i think there's only like 10 people who actually like that record.
  6. I've never seen the second CIV album on vinyl...though it probably exists...(i love that record...i know it sucks, but I still like it.) the bonus on Set Your Goals LP is that in addition to the hidden track on the CD there is also a SSD cover ('Glue'). and also there is the "Can't Wait One Minute More" promo 12" that has the song AND AN INSTRUMENTAL VERSION!! i plan to break this out for kareoke at some point in my life... just a little FYI from one CIV fan to another. IMO: CIV > Gorilla Biscuits
  7. for the Few and the Proud LP i did, i asked for blue vinyl with scrap added and i got 3 that were a deep dark blue marble, 3 pink/sorta marble-y and one pink with a blue center. i kept one of the pink and one of the dark blue, the one pink and one dark blue marble were raffled off at a memorial show for a friend that committed suicide to raise money for his funeral expenses. One friend bought one of the pink ones for $50 and the pink/blue center was sold to a friend for $100 and the money also went to the charity. so long story short I have: 1 of 3 on pink 1 of 3 on dark blue marble beyond that, the Four Star Alarm 7" on blue is limited to 112 i think. but since i put those both out they kinda don't count. Chuck Ragan's Do You prey 7" of 309 on grey...
  8. no, that fad died for a reason...we really shouldn't allow that one to come back, between that, the screen printed ladies underwear and the locust coke mirrors...all of these we can do without. the avail shirt is cool, but i have a few avail shirts already, plus it's from a tour i didn't see them on...so i'd feel weird owning that, i'm weird. i know.
  9. 1.Oceanic 2.Panopticon 3.Celestial 4.the Mosquito Control EP 5.the Red Sea EP 6.Sgnl>05 EP 7.In the Fishtank split EP w/ Aerogramme 8.In the Absence of Truth 9.Remix Compilation 10 not included are the live albums and the DVD which i think kinda blows too. I think Oceanic and Panoticon are both fucking brilliant, but Oceanic is marginally better. Celestial is fantastic. Mosquito Control and the Red Sea are the growing pains records...good, the potential for greatness is there, they just didn't totally know what they were doing back then...but they're still great. Signl 05 is a "single" for a song off Celestial. cool, has a Godflesh remix and some other songs from the Celestial session. In the Fishtank EP is weird, but it's good. In the Absence of Truth is too meandering, too much fucking around, the intesnsity isn't there. this is their 'Tales from Topographic Oceans' bloated egos, cause for inferior music. 1-3 on this list are chock full of LONG songs, but they all make sense, and there's never a moment 'where you wanna look at your watch and say ok-wrap it up dudes' ITAOT's songs have that in spades. Just not into this at all. Major let down, but it's one of those things like after coming off the last two records being as mindblowing, they had to slip up at some point. if you have the chance, see them live, that is where they truly shine.
  10. Deathcycle / the Holy Mountain split 5" on Gloom Reocrds. pretty fucking awesome.
  11. i have a Citizen Fish set list in Dick's hadwriting...so it looks like the lyric sheets in all the subhuman/Culture Shock/Citizen Fish records. that's pretty rad. a Pegboy set list. Strike Anywhere set list from the first time i saw them pre-Change is a Sound. signed Hepcat ticket stubb from Alex Desert from the last time they came through Chicago on the Right on Time tour. A picture of me and some friends with the OG Mad Caddies line-up outside the Fireside Bowl, which i later brought and had them sign. oh yeah! i have the Faith No More CDEP single for 'Epic' that i bought used and is signed my Jim Martin on the inside! bonus! I'm thanked in a handful of records, that's always a nice feeling.
  12. I only have band related tattoos. I'm a nerd, what can i say... Sick of It All dragon Avail dixie guy Fourth Rotor gear O Pioneers heart many, many planned.
  13. To answer your questions... The vinyl collective version will be easily available, as long as you order one from virgil, you'll get one. My last extra copy of the mitch clem cover i have is set aside for someone already. I have a few test pressings left, but they're not for sale...maybe in a few years. Not trying to be a dick, just those went to the guys in the band, Mitch, me and aaron, and to close friends the only "public" copy went to Virgil for the giveaway. They're all personalized to who they belong to. So in order to get one...at least for the time being...is have something to do with the band on a monumental level. ...And I'm the first person with a op!!! tattoo outside of the band, so don't even try to go that route. ...And as for the means to obtaining these...uh...no.
  14. yeah! at last Glenn's White Power song, 'White Devil Rise', gets released on vinyl!! wooo hoo....wait...uhm....
  15. Just so you know Mark from No Empathy still has most, if not all of the NE catalog available. I know he certainly has everything available on CD. He's also in a new band called Das Kapital, who're playing the Fest and are awesome!! Either get in touch with him through the DK myspace or the Johann's Face website. Murder City Devils were amazing. The drunker Spencer got, the greater they got...the shit he would say while drunk was spectacular. Band was always fucking on. I never once saw them play a half assed show.
  16. Thanks. For some reason I thought there was at least one more cover. I snagged one of the Mitch Clem covers, I was stoked on that. nope, but the Mitch Clem cover was printed on 3 colors of paper and the CD version has a different cover.
  17. this will be #3 50 Mitch Clem 400 Black Metal logo aka black on black 50 Vinyl Collective the black metal variant will always change because if we do more variant covers, i'll just hold off black metal covers for the second pressing.
  18. VC, because you demanded it... keep an eye out for a limited edition O Pioneers Vinyl Collective Exclusive cover...that's all I'm gonna say, Virgil's going to make an announcement soon...
  19. I hate to be a dick, but... Four Star Alarm J Church The Methadones New Bruises O Pioneers Shot Baker Plus label alumni: This is My Fist(exAmbition Mission) Canadian Rifle(exAmbition Mission, Fourth Rotor) www.undercomm.org I'll be there too.
  20. I'm sorry, i should have stated the rules...it doesn't count if it was made in anything beyond MS Paint quality. that one is way too good. hahahaha eric's gonna kill me when he sees this...oh man...
