ever been injured at a concert?
jercjast replied to silentgods's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I got jump kicked in the chest by a skin head at a Vandals show when I was 15. I had a big boot print shaped bruise on me for a while after that. Then another time a fat chick fell on top of me and gave me a bloody nose at a Bigwig show sometime later that year. More recently I broke three bones in my hand when the Vandals played Austin this year. I still can't use my pinkie like I once could. -
Anvil playing at "Anvil! The Story of Anvil"
jercjast replied to andywax's topic in Everything Else Message Board
They did something similar here in Dallas, but for some stupid reason I didn't end up getting to go. On an unrelated note, I saw a little person driving a tow truck today at McDonalds. -
I just watched that episode like half an hour ago. What a wacky coincidence.

I saw them open for Off With Their Heads a couple of times and they were alright. They did a pretty sweet cover of Boxcar.

I don't like the idea of Disney owning the Punisher. But maybe we can get a Punisher kills the Disney Universe one-shot.

Heh, I barely beat you. These books made a big impact on me when I was in like first grade. Randomly one of the stories will pop in my head these days. -
Remember Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark...
jercjast replied to xadamhudsonx's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I believe the story was, a family was on vacation in Mexico when they find a weird looking dog. They decide to keep it but weird things keep happening with it. When they get back to the U.S. they take it to a vet and find out its a giant mutant rat or something. -
The worst Bad Religion song ever played on live TV
jercjast replied to scottheisel's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I clicked this thread totally knowing it was going to be this song. I remember watching this show in Junior High. They had the Sloppy Meateaters on so it can't have been that bad of a show. -

The little alien kid is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. -
It can be really hit or miss at times, but I still loved watching it. At least the Sarah Silverman Program is coming back soon.

New VC Notebooks: Portugal the Man,Dillinger Four,

I got the Nofx/Rancid one. I've been wanting to get one for a long time now, I guess I lucked out being unemployed and home in the middle of the day. -
I'm pretty excited about this. The Walking Dead is my favorite on going comic book, with Invincible shortly behind it. I have full faith in Kirkman and AMC not to screw this up. He has been getting offers on WD since its beginning and he would never commit to one unless it would actually do it justice. I bet this is going to be a lot better than FX's version of Powers or ABC's Fables.

Mastodon & Dethklok Tour w/ CONVERGE & High On Fir

It's satire hidden inside horrific, deplorable violence. It can be pretty tough to grasp. -
Mastodon & Dethklok Tour w/ CONVERGE & High On Fir

If you have seen the show you know how intense and awesome the animation style is. Every song has an accompanying music video on a gigantic screen that hasn't been shown anywhere else. There's also a whole storyline for the show to make it seem like it's one huge episode. If you are a fan of the show, you'll love it. I don't really like metal normally, but Dethklok converted me. They are like the Banana Splits with murder. -

I'm seeing them in a couple weeks in Fort Worth. It's at this venue where I've never seen more than 25 people at a show. -

jercjast replied to jhulud's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I went to the DethKlok show last year and it was one of the most brutal things I've ever witnessed. I won't be missing this years. -
They usually do the season divided up into summer and winter. The next half will most likely begin in January. That's how they've done it for the other two seasons.

I downloaded it and it was alright. Parts were kinda cool. Overall I liked Generation Kill much better. I had no idea that the same lady that directed this did Point Break.

I want that Frank Grimes shirt so bad. -
I've really been digging listening to Anamanguchi lately. This is the first time I've actually heard them sing and not just sound like they were playing NES.

I had a really great time at the Austin show. I'm trying to remember the whole set list. There was a lot of new stuff played. From what I remember in a fairly general order: Even Winning Feels Bad Stuff That I Like It Shits! Fresh Attitude, Young Body Cold Chillin' (I think, I was a little drunk) Sweet Home Cananada Down Side Projects Saddr Weirdr Get Warmer I know there were a few others, but some parts just became a blur of awesomeness.

I just saw that you guys are doing an early show on Sunday. Could you spare any details, Eric?

Who's going to the Austin show? I'm going to be down all weekend and looking to party.
