  1. On limited red vinyl, no idea how limited but it's good to see some kmfdm vinyl since a bunch of their albums have never been pressed http://kmfdm.fulfillmentmerch.com/product/our-time-will-come-oct-2014-vinyl-pre-order
  2. I have still never played it, will prob pick it up for the ps3, must be fairly cheap that now i would have thought.
  3. Civ 5 is insanely easy to lose a whole heap of time into. The games take so long but I find that once I'm 70 turns in or so and things are going ok I need to see it through to the end. Abandoned so many games around turn 20 though, just struggle to get into it sometimes. Played Papers Please recently, what a fun game! Look it up, if you like indy style games and aren't too fussed about the graphics being top notch then it is great.
  4. My lady got hers taken out and then went back to work the same afternoon! She's hard as nails though. I still have mine and although they cause me a little bother every now and then they really aren't too bad. Good luck with your man.
  5. So this is still up for preorder, even though the Cake FB page said about 2 weeks ago that it was ending 'this week'. I have no issue with this being up for preorder, I missed it the first time around an am thankful that I got another chance but lying about when the preorder is ending (I assume to get people to jump on it out of fear of missing out) seems a bit low no? Also, if anyone missed this before, its still up but not shipping until September. Hope they sorted out the issues with the first lot for this run. Won't be fun trying to get them sorted from NZ if I have to send the duff ones back.
  6. I made it 52 seconds into that song before I had to turn it off. Utter shit.
  7. Uh.... He sold it to me, sorry man. I didn't realise someone else was after it.
  8. I must have played this game through at least five times now. Got it going on a PSP and just finished it up the other day, I know the story is a bit weird and I'm still not sure that there aren't some plot holes in there but man I love it.
  9. Cool, I think the ones I'm after are going to be popular ones. The last ones were released in the middle of the night here in NZ so if the others are put up at a similar time I think I am almost sure to miss out, nevermind, I'm not running short of things to spend money on anyway haha.
  10. Awesome, thanks man. I would love to get myself Sadness Comes Home, Glacial Pace, Precipice and AWLWLB, any idea when the next lot will be going up?
  11. A few years ago maybe, he's upped his game these days though!
  12. Are the images of the other ones out there already? Would love to see them so I know what I'm shooting for.
  13. Just to bring this back up (sorry, I'm not just Larry bashing I promise) I have been listening to a lot of Pelican recently and here is my take on it. Early stuff (basically everything before City of Echos) has a sort of lazy feel to to, almost like everyone in the band is a bit behind, I know this isn't possible but I'm not a professional reviewer of music and not really sure how else to put it. The drumming matches the rest of the music well though and I am a fan of pretty much all of this era Pelican. Then City... came along and it was the first album that to me the drumming on sounded poor. There are some really interesting things going on in that album but there are a few (a few too many) times where the drumming will make me cringe a bit. Since that we have had WWACTN which I'm listening to now, the drumming is much sharper. I read an interview with Larry where he said he had been working hard since he got slated for City and I really think you can hear the improvement here. I never really gave WWACTN that much time when it came out but it is a really good album. Forever Becoming certainly has a different flavour to it, a bit faster and I feel an extension of the difference between earlier work and WWACTN, the drumming on it works well and I can't hear anything that immediately jumps out as 'poor'. TLDR Old stuff is good, City of Echos makes my cringe, everything since is different to old stuff but still good.
  14. When I talk about sq I mean I would avoid a pressing that is renowned for having surface noise or some other defect, or if a remaster had occurred that was generally considered to be superior I would go for that. For instance I am tempted by the new MOV pressing of Mr Bungle, the older ones are known to be pretty poor so I would give them a miss.
  15. I have no choice really, nearest record shops are 3+ hours away, and they are quite pricy, though I do go have a look through them when I'm over that way. Shipping things to NZ is expensive but I like having records so I have to suck it up.
  16. I guess I'd rather have the one that sounds the best as long as it isn't out of press and "collectable" (i.e. expensive) I have a few records that are worth a bit of money but I didn't pay over the odds for them originally and don't think I ever will. If all things were equal (cost, sound quality etc) then I think I would probably go for the OG press, unless there was a a version where the records really matched the cover art well in which case I may go for that one.
  17. The funny thing is I don't have an issue with the drumming on Forever Becoming, maybe I just haven't been paying attention to it so much. On City of Echos it really is poor, to the point that I struggle to enjoy that record, their weakest release IMO
  18. Just saw on FB that it is 2000 copies, 500 on each colour, just thought some might want to know. Think I'm going to give this one a miss, not a massive live album fan.
  19. I concur, closely followed by the fire in our throats and the self titled ep. Though forever becoming (did i get the name right?) Is really good too.
  20. That really is bullshit expensive, never heard of them before and don't really feel like looking them up now.
  21. Sort ot wanted it but partially glad its gone now, been spending a bit much recently as it is.
  22. Now up on HH for $20 on black vinyl. http://hydrahead.merchtable.com/
