  1. Yeah dreamover, quit your bitching and just pay eBay prices on http://www.shopbenchmark.com/copeland/
  2. Yeah the Espirit. I like the switch on the TT to avoid clutter. Just wondering if I'm going to drop the extra $150 on top of the Carbon DC if there's anything better in that range.
  3. Finally saved about $500 to get a new TT. Was leaning towards the Debut Carbon DC but I hate that I would need to remove the platter just to change the speed. So then I got to thinking about springing for the Debut Carbon DC with built in speed box and acrylic platter for $599 Question. Is there any other player in this 5-600 range with auto 33/45 selector that is a better option than the Debut Carbon DC SB? I am only interested in new players, had poor luck with vintage and don't feel like messing with them
  4. Just have to keep making new ones, like with Lovedrug
  5. Logged on to Facebook to check on the comment I made earlier and to see the other angry posts about the pricing only to find they have all been deleted by the band.
  6. Listen, the first run made sense at $30. Brand new album, produced by the band, no label backing. Sure. This is a repress, and a new press of a second version of the same album. 2 LPs for $60. Not a far cry from Lovedrug's $100 2LP. It's just the way the band is handling it. Make up some bullshit excuse for price gouging if you're going to do it. Don't just say "hey, it's better than eBay"
  7. Yes, the music speaks for itself but I can definitely agree I have a bad taste in my mouth after this and the Lovedrug responses. This way of thinking needs to stop. I agree they have every right to charge what they want, but it doesn't mean you should. At a point, you have to consider what's more important, a huge profit or a good respectful relationship with your fan base.
  8. "They'll show up on eBay"???? You have to be kidding me. What the fuck is wrong with these guys
  9. Yes, someone already confirmed these are $30 each at the show
  10. $60 for the bundle? $30 a pop, at least make it $50. $10 shipping
  11. Damn you for bumping this and making me think there was some kind of Algernon Cadwallader revival
  12. They don't even need to be valid, I've done a dozen myself
  13. Between all the people upset about this I'm going to estimate 60/100 of those are fake email addresses and/or bad pledges.
  14. My new Lovedrug - 'Pretend You're Alive' vinyl is going to look so damn good in this
  15. The problem that the band is failing to realize is that they created the problem in the way they worded the funding campaign. Read this, taken straight from the bands website: "Over the years, we have heard the resounding requests to have our first album Pretend You’re Alive pressed to vinyl. Well, that’s exactly what we are going to do. We’ve thought of a way that we can work together to get the vinyl pressed AND help LOVEDRUG hit the road hard in 2016 so we can come see you in your hometown. Introducing: the PYA PROMISE 400." Simply put by the band 1. We see demand for vinyl and were going to press it, AND oh, by the way 2. This is a great opportunity to also tour off the revenue we can get from price gouging. Then once the backlash comes from their fans they flip their priorities and make it seem that the vinyl is just a small goodie in the deal. Hell, the page on the bands website thats dedicated to the funding is actually called "PYA Vinyl", not "Send us on tour". It's the order in which this is presented that starts the argument. A better ask would be. "Hey! We love to tour and want to continue but were low on funds. Pledge $100 to send us back on tour and as a bonus we'll throw in a copy of PYA and some other stuff"
  16. The band is now deleting the negative posts from their page. Went from 55 this afternoon down to 49 now. Some real Nick Alt stuff right there.
  17. I'm starting to think they're raising the $40K to go back to college to learn how to properly obtain capitol funding.
  18. So you're putting a valuation on this vinyl of $40,000?
  19. Hahaha I love the dude that used 'Easy Pass' in his post. VC reppin!
