Love this band. Love Baton Rouge even more to be honest. Picked both of them up when InVinylWeTrust was still up and running. RIP. -

Heard CCR's 'I Put A Spell On You' and thought it was dope. Then heard Screamin' Jay Hawkins' original. Double dope. -

Psych thread & reccomendations
withengineheart replied to icecream's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Spirit is the shit. Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus is definitely my favorite of theirs. It's A Beautiful Day's self titled is also incredible. Most misleading cover ever, easy to spot in dollar bins accross America. Procol Harum's Shine On Brightly is a psych masterpeice. ''Life is like a beanstalk, isn't it?'' -
One more thing: if you're at a show where there's kind of a shitty turnout don't stand against the back wall for fuck sake. Trust me, it's more awkward for the band than it is for you possibly being subjected to been seen by others. Or, that could just be a Scandinavian thing.. very modest people.

A lot of spot on comments here. Openly talking shit about an opening band or a just a band you don't like while they're playing is a huge pet peeve of mine. Most of the time those playing can easily pick out shit talkers on body language alone and lead to a serious buzzkill. Respect is apparently out of style. I rarely jump in the pit, but most of the time people understand the code of the fallen comrade or what have you. Pick them the fuck up. Don't deliberately try to harm someone (unless they have a swaztika tattooed on their chest all American History X style and are punching 'faggots'. A face beating is necessary there. Experienced that at a Terror concert. Whoever put Cannibal Corpse after Terror had no idea how those fanbases would clash..) Also, knock a full beer out of someones hands, buy them a new beer. Just cuz.. be nice. Yeah. Throwing beer is a waste of a good beer, but I dunno. There's a time and a place where throwing a full beer has seemed fitting. Just don't throw glass bottles..

Best Record Owner in America

My girlfriend gets jealous that I get to open what she calls 'presents' every other day it seems. I've started to let her open rhe packages when they come. Starts with a smile like a kid at Christmas to utter disappointment when she finds yet another grind album. ☺️ I try to purchase an Outkast or 90's partay record every once in a while to keep her hopes up.
