I've got a copy of A Gentle Reminder on marbled blue that I'd let go if you're interested.

Some of the Duster - Stratosphere LPs are going for $400 on Discogs – I wonder what the OG prices will drop to when/if the recent announcements about a multi-album repress come to fruition.
-
Hell yesss - ordered an orange with haste. Just completed my PtL collection and it feels so good.
-
So mad I bought this 4 months ago for $70... le sigh

My copy showed up today. Never received shipping confirmation, so it was a nice surprise.
Same, gorgeous embossing on the jacket and a similar etching on the D side - they did a nice job on this one.

Looking forward to grabbing one or all of these fo sho

Great collection! I'd be interested in a few if those 7"s unless you're hoping to sell it as a unit. PM'd

Agreed, fantastic album. I'm glad to see they are repressing this to go with the EP - I have an OG press but that white is tempting.

Pre-ordered with haste and snagged a blue (although tempted to grab the black 180g) - very excited for this to finally be repressed.

Sweet, snagged a clear copy. Had I read the full post beforehand maybe I would have grabbed a black but just happy it's up for pre-order.

agreed. just saw tennis system on saturday and they were so fucking good. have been enjoying them and ovlov a ton lately.
Tennis System is a new band for me, I don't totally see the comparison but rad music nonetheless - thanks!

Ordered with haste, this is my favorite album by these guys (maybe - tied with Last Night in Town). I love Creep Records, and have ordered from them many times so not too worried about the quality even if it is a boot - great folks there! Plus who doesn't want that pretty pink mess of a press?!

Oh boy, good luck with SoundStage Direct.

This is very sad, I knew I should have waited for others to release this - I learned my lesson and then some after reading the Steve Hoffman thread. I'll place an order with AKR or BM in the meantime as I am too anxious, thanks!
-
Has anyone received their copy yet? I know it had a release date of 8/31 and appears to be no longer just a pre-order on the AKR site. I ordered through SoundStageDirect anyway, but I'm anxious to get my hands on this record - I've been waiting a long time for it to be pressed.
Also +1 on the Springfield track, it's one of my favorite Sufjan songs.
-
I'm into it and will definitely pre-order, but now that you pointed out the drum sound it sticks out to me - the piano is way up over the other tracks as well.

Yes. 40W per channel clearly falls neatly into the 15-130W outlined in your post.
Also, let me know where you're picking these up from - I've been eyeing them as my next upgrade as well.

good thing I didn’t make a new thread... cassette only
Hopeful this is just temporary, they did the same on their last EP. If TinyEngines is worried about making too much money from the vinyl release, I'll gladly take one for the team and grab it for free.
On a more serious note, I really liked the new track (more so than Daymoon) and look forward to hearing the full album!

Liking Drool a whole not more than the first single, Light. Will probably let the next single decide whether I jump in before or after I hear the whole album. Or FOMO on trans blue/sea glass split.
Totally agree, I was out based on "Light" but "Drool" turned my opinion around a bit. I had hoped for a continuation of their previous sound, but reading how he/they talk about the new album piqued my interest - preordered the blue/seaglass.
"Unlike any previous It Looks Sad. project, these 15 songs are more partial to synths than guitars. Opening track “Shave” recalls the thumping shimmer-pop of Washed Out, and there’re a series of sub-two-minute interludes that soak Turner’s disaffected voice in auto-tune a la fellow NC musician Mathew Cothran (Coma Cinema). Whereas Turner’s early material reached out to pull listeners in, Sky Lake builds a world that’s lush and inviting but doesn’t beg to be entered. Its hooks are noticeably less immediate than the ones on Kaiju, and the lyrics—though directed toward another unnamed “you,” a mysterious other whom Turner has sang at for years—are more ambiguous.
“I really wanted to write songs that just sounded like a dream, or visuals/symbols,” Turner says.
Although dreamy is a trite adjective, Turner says that the record, named after the Florida neighborhood he grew up in, is literally “a fantasy story of my dreams and things I’ve seen or hear in the woods while I walk.'"

It’s Ugly Casanova on the soundtrack. No Modest Mouse for people who got their hopes up.
Apologies, not the first time I've made that mistake. I hear Isaac and my brains says "Modest Mouse".

So very excited about this. I felt lucky snagging a reasonably priced Chez Viking earlier this year but this takes the cake kids.

All the TWDY Magic Bullet releases are garbage, but IIRC my Hobbledehoy press of Tunnel Blanket sounded fine, as did Another Language on Suicide Squeeze
I hate to see this and it seems pretty unanimous throughout the VC community, but I've got a copy of YM, S/T, and the Lymbyc Systym split (all Magic Bullet) and they all sound quite good. I'm not sure if they had just terrible QC or what, but the only one I could even find any issue at all with would be Young Mountain with a little surface noise. They're not ALL bad.

As others have said the LPs came supremely packaged. I was very happy with my order but goddamn I now know why the shirts were only $2 - they must be made from the same craft paper backing that comes on insulation.

Happy to stumble on this thread, I finally snagged a copy of O God... pumped on that!
