  1. Thats happened to 2 or 3 people at my school so far this semester. Baseballs brother in law works on Howard St. and someone stole his in the middle of the day when he was parked right outside his office.
  2. My take on it would be why are healthy sleeping habits good for your heath. People who don't get enough sleep don't live as long and they also tend to be over weight, which is a problem in this country right now. Use google scholar to find academic articles. http://scholar.google.com/schhp?hl=en&tab=ws
  3. Although it does seem strange, especially since she refused medical attention after someone carved something in her face, it isn't uncommon to not report someones name after they've been the victim of assault. If someone was robbing you at an ATM, don't you think they would take more than $60?
  4. In Takoma Park now, about a half-mile from the DC line. Did you ever go to shows at the Electric Maid
  5. When I was younger politics was one of the things that really separated me from my family (both immediate and extended). My uncle edited the shirt I was wearing in a family picture because it didn't agree with his politics. My parents wouldn't let me pursue legal action against DC police after I was injured at a protest because it was my fault for going in the first place. My dad sends me "funny" conservative emails all the time. I just ignore them. This is the first election where my brother and I agree on who should win. It's pretty exciting.
  6. My parents panned for gold and went on several tours. They really enjoyed it and were even talking about moving up there, although we lived there before so their assessment is kind of biased.
  7. I work in a grocery store and the biggest increases I've seen have been for milk, eggs, and bread. Milk is $4.49 a gallon.
  8. There are various types of genital cutting. The most invasive type cuts everything off and leaves only a really small hole for urine and blood to come out of. It's call infibulation. It leaves horrible scar tissue and it can take up to a week for a womans husband to penetrate it after marriage. The most common type of female genital mutilation only takes off the clitoris. It is done in almost every country worldwide even though it is illegal. It is most prominent in Africa and the Middle East. Many people use religion as a justification for it, but there is no basis for it in any religious texts. The age that its done normally depends on what age the girls normally get married in that culture. It's generally around puberty, sometimes younger. In cultures that do practice FGM girls most likely would never find a husband that would accept them if they weren't cut. Unless a girls family is very rich the practice is done by women in the community who have no medical training. The tools are not sterile, and it could even be the top of a can or a piece of glass. The girls are held down so they cant move. There are no pain killers. Many girls die or become infertile because of infection.
  9. I'm baseballs girlfriend and I've found that college kids are more likely to respect you as long as you look like you know what you're talking about. If you go in confident most of them will pay attention and believe everything you say.
  10. At least 2 pot holders and a carbon monoxide detector that you can plug into the wall.
  11. My fiance made me a special brownie smoothie after I got my wisdom teeth out. It was pretty awesome.
  12. I've had my ankle reconstructed twice. The first time it turns out I had been walking on a fractured leg and a bunch on unhealed sprains for 6 months in addition to a congenital problem that make all my ligaments were too long. They went in and sewed the ligament to itself to make it shorter. Then I was beaten at a protest and the whole thing was ripped out. The second reconstruction required them to take a tendon out of my foot to put in my ankle to make it move normally. I think the surgery was called the chrisman-snook ankle reconstruction. Do you know what your going to have?
  13. Honestly, you're really over reacting. Girls do shit like that all the time and it's not a big deal. Almost every girls compare themselves, at least to some extent, to the women you've been with in the past.
  14. At least the wedding planners car was broken into outside the venue. That should count for something. Congratulations! Now he's going to start shitting with the bathroom door open, and it all goes down hill from there.
  15. My science of water final was at 8 last semester. My teacher was a douche and I drew a picture of a bear eating fish for one of my answers. I think I got it right too. I have a math final at 8 this semester. I live half an hour away when it's not rush hour and I'm totally not a morning person. I might spend the night at my friends so my boyfriend doesn't have to deal with waking me up at 6:30
