Thanks for the heads up on that.  I picked one up.  I wonder why they have leftover units and how many they are releasing online?  In other words, what is the deal dude?

It has been awhile since they have done this, but when they switched from the ModLife format over to their own site for the Vault, they would frequently (usually once a month) do a drop on their site where they would put two or three random items from previous Vault packages into the novelties store. I think this is just continuing that process. There are not usually very many items available, and they are likely overstock not used to replace damaged or lost shipments. In the past, the items would sell out quite quick, but that also included some of the more rare early releases. I’m thinking most people who have followed Third Man for very long probably jumped on the Icky Thump package, and demand probably isn’t all that high at this point for the stand alone record.

  2. I can’t find any information now, but didn’t the description on the web store when it first went up in presale indicate that it was limited to 1000? Anyone remember this or am I just imagining things?

Regardless, I have to admit I’m a little peeved that I got the standard version ordering from his web store. Had I known, I would have supported the local and gotten the variant I thought I was getting initially. Having just received my web store order, I now can’t find the indie variant.

  3. If you are interested in some old Cursive:

    https://cursive.bandcamp.com/album/tides-rush-in-ep

This collection of songs was originally released as part of the 1998 Silver Scooter / Cursive split EP on Crank! Records. At the time. these songs were released on 10" vinyl and CD but never found a digital home. These are the Cursive tracks, available for one day only (March 20, 2020).

This is available as pay what you want.

Is the pic disc all they have available on tour or do they have standard black or something too?

They had the silver variant for sale at the merch table as well. They also had every other Cursive and Tim Kasher record for sale except for “The Difference Between Houses and Homes.”

Have you been following the reddit VMP? It's basically been a shit show for the last 2 months since they migrated to a new website. Lots of changes, some are glitches, some aren't. A lot of things are limited, like only being able to swap once and you're locked in. ROTM's being available to the public. The list goes on tbh haha, not to mention their mail order has been super backed up as well as people receiving multiple copies of records on accident or the wrong ones (like, a lot of people, including myself)

Anyway, I hope they fix some things soon. Supposedly the swap limitations atm are potentially temporary, for whatever that's worth haha

I ended up cancelling my membership in December when I couldn’t swap out the Aretha record. Customer service told me it was a glitch and couldn’t do anything about it, at which point I told them I wanted to cancel my month to month membership. They told me they couldn’t do that either. I had to call my credit card company to deauthorize my automatic payments. I don’t know what’s going on over there, but it doesn’t seem very sustainable for the long term.

    Vault #43

    - The Raconteurs Live In Tulsa 3xLP

    - Jack White & Brendan Benson "Born & Razed" Live Bluray

    - Mystery Flexi-Disc

As someone who attended 2/3 of the Tulsa shows, I’m quite excited for this. Despite attending hundreds of shows over the years,  I have never had a show I’ve attended pressed to vinyl.
